Supplement Guide
When I was getting into different things like Bodybuilding, “Getting Big”, and even Powerlifting, I began abusing supplements. Now, that’s not to say these things go hand-in-hand with supplementation, but that’s just what led me to realizing I was doing it all wrong. I must say though, I was having a TON of fun ordering and trying out every supplement under the sun. I had woman-like shopping habits at GNC and Bodybuilding.com…
Soooo, the thing to learn from that is to NOT ABUSE these next list of supplements. They’re not magic.
Recommended Supplementation
Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard
This is the only protein powder I’ll use. They’ve been around and the top protein on the market for so long, and offer just about every flavor under the sun. I don’t see any reason not to use them, as they give me everything I need and more. The only warning I give it to not become dependent on it or think of it as some magic form of muscle growth.

Beware of Abuse
I do not personally use these supplements. There are reasons behind WHY I do not for each one of these. If I’m going to need a “Fat Burner”, I’m going to use SuperHuman Fuel – If I need Vitamins, I’m getting them elsewhere. Just beware that these are strictly my recommendations IF YOU PERSONALLY FEEL THEM NECESSARY.
Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite
I literally took these to “cut weight” because I thought they were some sort of magic pill or something…I’m here to tell you that they’re not. Please do not abuse them. They can give you a kick, but make sure you ease your way into them so you avoid getting the jitters. They are good for easing hunger and speeding up your metabolism, so if you do it right, this is my recommendation.
Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men
At the time I didn’t realize that I was getting my vitamins in a complete imbalance. Some too much, some too little. On top of that, once I started digging a bit deeper I also began realizing how low quality the nutrients really were. Now I know better! That being said, if you’re going to need to fuel your vitamins with a multi, Opti-Men stacks up as one of the best.
Cellucor C4 Pre Workout
Okay, I’ll admit it…I sometimes miss pre-workout, BUT I was becoming dependent on it and now having adjusted my diet properly, I haven’t needed the extra boost in a long time. I will still utilize it on random occasions when I’m REALLY needing a kick to get me going, but that generally doesn’t happen too often. C4 is by far my favorite out of the dozens and dozens I’ve tried though.
