Alright, we're back in action.
This one took me a little bit longer than expected due to a 9 day trip to Texas (I'm from New York, if you guys didn't know), but I'm excited to keep this series going!
And this one was just as amazing as the rest!
This one comes in as book number 3, and the additions and twists to this one made it feel like I was reading all my favorite characters in a whole new, amazing world.
In a good way, of course.
Maas adds in so many new realms to this story that allow her to keep us from knowing what's coming next.

While this is the third book of the series and new things should constantly be getting introduced, Maas really surprised me with this one.
The new additions to this worked so well with the huge twist coming from the second, while also leading us into all new elements, and it really was a pleasant surprise.
There are new powers, tons and tons of new characters, and new races/groups that are able to expand us into another extremely exciting twist.
At first I was a little iffy about Chaol and Celaena being separated, and even more hesitant about the new witch clans that were being introduced (although I did immediately like Rowan, Aedion, and Sorscha's characters), but they all really grew on me due to Maas' character building.
They're broken down into separate chapters of their own that really allow them to shine and make it feel like you're reading their specific story prior to coming together as one.
Maas gave us the big twist (like I mentioned), at the end of the last book, and she doesn't fail us here. The ending sequence to this book is INSANE! Twist after twist had me reading more and more. Between Queen Maeve and the king of Adarlan, Maas uses their power to basically take us under her control as well!
I am definitely ready to get started on the next read sometime this month (after our three books we chose for Book Club, which I'll talk more about below).
Like the rest of the series, I have to give this a 5 out of 5 because I can't wait to keep reading. There were a couple things I was unsure of, but Maas proved me wrong and made this another fantastic read. I definitely recommend continuing the series into this one.
I'm curious to see what you guys have to think!
My next read will be The Time of Contempt (Witcher Series Book #2), because we read Blood of Elves last month, but we also chose Mortal Engines (Book #1) and Feel the Fear...but Do It Anyway for Book Club December as well!

Review Conclusion
There really aren't any complaints. It's like Maas is writing to the style I love, and with every book she pulls us deeper and deeper into her world. Quick and easy to read chapters, with absolutely amazing characters and world building.
