We recently took a look at The Best Cross Training Shoes for Men, and now it's time to flip the switch and look at The Best Cross Training Shoes for Women!
Some of the shoes on this list will be the same (except the version made specifically for women), so if you already read that list now you just scroll down and grab the specific list to the right shoes!
If you're new here, then I do want to start by going over a bit of what cross training is, like we did in our other article.
I also want to talk to you about why we're specifically starting with cross training shoes as opposed to running or weightlifting (although that will come after we discuss what it is)!
To make it nice and easy we'll go ahead and start off with the same definition we used for the men right from Ace Fitness:
Cross training is typically defined as an exercise regimen that uses several modes of training to develop a specific component of fitness.
This is exactly what we have been seeing more and more among the "typical" celebrity training style.
If you've read my book Superhuman Secrets you'll know that a mix of circuit training, weight training, calisthenics and cardio is what we find among celebs and the world's top performers nine times out of ten.
That's even what is the basis for our Superhuman System which is literally built to be the most effective, efficient, and sustainable system to help members achieve The Superhero Physique.
Which is why we're focusing in on the best cross training shoes first!
Of course we love to lift here at SHJ, and we also love to run, but we're going to have to get the best mixture of all styles and prepare our feet for that to get us started.
So here are the best shoes for women to do just that!
THE BEST CROSS TRAINING
SHOES FOR WOMEN
Nike Metcon 5
$96
The first two shoes on the list are actually going to swap for the women. I personally wanted to have my Reebok Nanos at number one, but the Metcons came up number one on almost every list I found with the Nanos coming in Top Five (usually 2-3) more often for the women.
Reebok Nano 9
$95
These are my personal favorite, and as I said in the article for the men I have personally upgraded my Nanos every year for over five years now and they are easily my "go-to". After testing the Metcons they definitely compete and almost beat the Nanos (if it wasn't for my favoritism I suppose).
Under Armour Women's Charged Breathe TR2
$49
The Under Armour Charged Breathe TR2 are specifically come in at the number three slot because of the price range they can be round at. If you can't find these at the $45-60 range then you may want to opt for a different set on this list as you'll likely be moving closer into the other price range territory anyway.
Nike in-Season TR9 Cross Trainers
$75
The Nike in-Season TR9s are amazing, and these would be my first pick if I couldn't find the Under Armour set above at a much lower price point. You should be able to pick these up for around $75 or so and they are amazing for all types of training.
New Balance FuelCore NERGIZE Cross Trainers
$40
And every list needs to super budget, but also super awesome option. The New Balance FuelCore NERGIZE shoes are just that. They are extremely affordable but also awesome for all types of training. I suggest grabbing these if you need a nice beat up and training-only pair!
That’s a wrap.
