MAIN INGREDIENTS
- ½ lb top sirloin steak
- pico de gallo, or salsa (be sure to add these calories if not 5-15 range)
- 4 [corn] tortillas
AVOCADO LIME SAUCE
- 1 medium avocado
- â…“ cup fresh cilantro
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- â…” cup water
- salt (to taste)
CHILI & LIME RUB
- 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Place your cilantro, avocado, lime juice, salt and water into a blender or food processor. Blend them all together until they're smooth and then set them aside.
- In a small bowl, combine your chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, and lime juice.
- Rub your new chili & lime rub onto the steak in a thin and even layer.
- Grill the steak on either a grill or stove-top grill pan.
- Let the steak cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice the steak thinly.
- Prepare the tacos by topping the tortillas with a few strips of your steak, salsa, the avocado lime sauce, and cilantro, and serve it up!
