For our first ever Anime Diet Plan we're bringing in the GOAT: Goku!
Eventually I'll come back and link "Anime Diet Plan" to a full database just like our Anime Workouts, but for now we're just getting started with this new section.
We have THOUSANDS of workouts consisting of anime characters, celebrities (workouts & diets), and superheroes, but now it's time to bring in anime diets.
You guys have been asking for something like this for a LONG time, and I have now brainstormed some ways with our Plus Ultra members that we can make this fun, without confusing people into thinking it's effective to eat exactly like an anime character. Instead, we'll be talking about how they WOULD eat in real life.
NOTE ON ANIME DIET PLANS / "HOW WOULD THEY EAT" ARTICLES:
The reason why it took so long for me to be convinced to do "anime diet plans" and articles like this one is because eating like an anime character would be counterproductive and any way you swing it would do more harm than good for 99% of people by confusing the actual basis of what is needed to lose weight and gain muscle. That said: this is built around our SHJ 4-Tier Nutrition System and how each character WOULD eat in real life based on their stats and bonus information.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS DIET & BREAKDOWN:
I have now launched The Anime Diet, which revolves around our 4-Tier Nutrition System, as well as multiple Anime Cookbooks which allow you to pull fun recipes into your diet while still leveling up.
The basis of this Goku Diet Plan will be to discuss how Goku would eat based on his height and weight to do three things: Lose Fat, Maintain Weight and Gain Strength, and Gain Muscle Mass.
I'll be using the same calculators we use within our Plus Ultra membership to break down our 4-Tier Nutrition System - which is why you'll see multiple different levels for protein intake that we use with members as they scale up!
We'll also end with a fun section below that will discuss some things Goku has been seen eating, but I'll only name a couple so that you guys can comment below with more! 🙂
GOKU HEIGHT, WEIGHT & STATS:
Stats We Will Be Using In Our Dietary Calculators:
Height: 5'9
Weight: 137 lbs.
Age: 761-780
**We'll be using age 35 for the sake of our calculations.**
Gender: Male
Activity Level: To make this relevant for us and stick to the "in real life" theme we're going for, I'm going to be using "moderate training level" for all characters.
Please keep in mind that the majority of characters have an absolutely INSANE activity level (like we see from some athletes) that would actually allow them to eat at some ridiculous level.

GOKU DIET PLANS: CALORIE INTAKE
Total Calories (Weight Loss): 1622-1872
Total Calories (Maintain Weight): 2122
Total Calories (Mass Gain): 2372-2622
GOKU DIET PLANS: PROTEIN INTAKE
PLEASE NOTE: Goku's weight is EXTREMELY low for his height and muscle mass. I would guesstimate more around the range of 165-185+ which would increase these levels by 25-50+g each.
Daily Protein Level One [The Minimum]: 93
Daily Protein Level Two [The Sweet Spot]: 108
Daily Protein Level Three [The Super Saiyan]: 136
GOKU DIET PLANS: THE REST OF THE CALORIES
The rest of your calories, after you hit your protein intake for the day, are "free" calories with our 4-Tier Nutrition System.
That means, whatever remaining calories you have for the day (pre-planning is great here) after hitting your protein goal, can be used for ANY food you'd like 🙂
Goku amounts of Ramen, anyone?

Didn’t he also eat a lot of meats growing up? Like from surviving in the wild in his training
Yeah in Dragon Ball as a child I know we also see him eating meats and even picking apples, etc.
This kind of article is gonna be a nice and fun addition to the site. Looking forward to the next one!
