You guys loved the last Demon Slayer Inspired Recipe added to our new Anime Recipes Database, so I'm back for another one!
This time I'm keeping it simple but fun, and even bringing in one for our vegans in The SHJ Army 🙂
Anime: Demon Slayer
Inspiration: In Episode 8 of Demon Slayer Ms. Tamayo made vegan miso soup to treat the woman attacked by her demonic husband.
Hopefully you're not cooking it for someone attacked by their demonic husband, but this can still be a fun simple dish to add into your nutrition planning.

Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts
INGREDIENTS
- 4–5 cups water
- 3–4 large pieces of kombu (dried thick seaweed)
- ½ cup wakame (dried fine seaweed)
- 1 cup mushrooms (your choice!)
- ½ cup silken tofu, cubed
- 4 tbsp white shiro miso paste
- Sliced green onion, for garnish
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Time to prepare your seaweed! Start by allowing the kombu to soak in your cooking water for as long as possible to get the amount of flavor. Soak your wakame in a separate cup of water for about 5 minutes, or until it is soft.
- Bring your kombu and cooking water to a boil in a medium pot.
- Add the mushrooms and allow it to boil for an additional 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat completely.
- Once the water stops boiling, add in the miso paste.
- Spoon a little bit of the broth into a soup ladle, then use chopsticks to dissolve the miso paste into the broth before adding to the rest of the soup. (Make sure you're adding the miso paste slowly to avoid having chunks of it!)
- Add your tofu and wakame to the pot, then stir.
- Divide the soup into bowls, garnish with green onion, serve and enjoy.
