We're sticking to our Demon Slayer themed for a few more additions to our new Anime Recipes being that you guys are having so much fun with them.
This time we're adding in something hot, and ironically enough it's inspired by Shinobu!
I know, out of all the Hashira, you may not have expected this one!
Anime: Demon Slayer
Inspiration: Shinobu loves hot and spicy flavors. One of her favorite foods is Ginger Tsukudani! Which means we obviously have to try it as well.

INGREDIENTS
- 100 g Fresh Ginger
- 1 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Mirin
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 sachet (2.5 g) Bonito Flakes (‘Okaka/Katsuobushi’)
- 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Peel the skin of the ginger and slice very thin. (The thinner the better in my opinion)
- Place the ginger in a saucepan, add water (just enough to be above the ginger), and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Drain the water (you won't be needing it anymore).
- Place the ginger back in your saucepan and add 1/2 cup water and your sugar, soy sauce and mirin.
- Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes (or until the sauce is completely gone).
- Add your flakes and sesame seeds and mix it up.
- Enjoy!
