Next up for our Anime Inspired Recipes we have another Demon Slayer themed recipe that is going to be playing on something we know Inosuke loves: Tempura!
I'll talk about this a bit more below in the inspiration section, but if you're a Demon Slayer fan you probably know exactly what I'm talking about already.
For this one, similar to the other recipes I've had on the site, I'm going to be taking a simple and easy approach for quick grab, fun meals.
Anime: Demon Slayer
Inspiration: In episode 14 we see Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu at the mansion.
When they are eating Inosuke tries to eat and hog all the tempura!
For this one we'll be making some extra tempura so hopefully Zenitsu can have some as well.

Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts
INGREDIENTS
For the Shrimp & Vegetables
- 1 Pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 ½ Cups Green Beans
- ½ Small Kobocha Squash (or butternut squash)
- 3 Large Carrots
- Peanut or Vegetable Oil, for frying
For the Tempura Batter
- 1 ¼ Cups White Rice Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 1 ½ Cups Club Soda
- Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Prep all of your vegetables and shrimp ahead of time. Pat down your shrimp with some paper towel and set aside the vegetables so you're ready to go.
- Begin heating oil by pouring it into a large pot and turning the heat on high and letting it get to about 375º. The oil should go up 2-3 inches or so.
- Whisk your rice flour, cornstarch, egg yolk, club soda together and then season it all with salt and pepper while your oil is heating (which can take 8-12 minutes).
- Once your oil is finished heating up you can dig you vegetables in one by one until they're coated. Fry them each for about 1-2 minutes and until they're golden and crispy.
- Place the veggies on paper towels to soak up any liquid/oil that will be coming off.
- Repeat the process with your shrimp and enjoy!
