Everyone knows the Naruto Dango Shop!
For this one we're going to be traveling to the Naruto Dango Shop ourselves and making some super easy dango of a few different flavors. We'll even have strawberry and matcha flavored dango, which will only add a single extra step to our preparation.
We've been on a roll with our Anime Inspired Recipes and moving into some Naruto inspiration, and this one is another great one that all Naruto fans will definitely remember! 🙂

Inspiration: The Naruto Dango Shop is technically just labeled as "Dango Shop" but we have seen tons of characters enjoying dango. Even Deidara and Tobi have been shown eating some!
SHJ Naruto Bonuses:
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cup glutinous rice flour
- 1 cup rice flour
- ¾ cup icing sugar
- 1 cup + 6 teaspoon water
FOR STRAWBERRY AND MATCHA DANGO
- 1 tablespoon strawberry powder
- ¾ teaspoon matcha powder
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large bowl, mix your glutinous rice flour, rice flour and icing sugar.
- Once they are well mixed, divide them into three separate bowls at equal portions (which should be about one cup each if you're using the exact measurements above).
- In one of the bowls mix in matcha powder and in another bowl mix in strawberry powder. Leave the last bowl plain as is [without flavoring].
- Add ⅓ cup + 2 teaspoon of water in all three bowls and mix them until a dough forms that you can easily work with to form balls.
- Knead the dough into a ball, then into a long tube. Cut the tube into half and then line the tubes together, slicing the tubes into 5 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a sphere. Repeat this process for your other pieces of dough.
- Bring a large pot of hot water to a boil and then reduce it to medium-high heat.
- Carefully lower each ball into the pot and stir the water a bit.
- Boil them for 7-8 minutes until they float and until the inside is cooked.
- Strain and rinse the balls under cold water.
- Let them cool down and them skewer 1 of each color onto sticks.
- You should have 3 balls per stick.
