In our last jump rope inspired character workout we saw The Flash and I mentioned how it was strange that this early on in building out our jump rope workouts database we go to The Flash over someone like Batman while using DC and Marvel characters as inspiration.
Well, I suppose Hawkeye falls into that rather odd category as well, having only seen Spider-Man and Captain America thus far from Marvel inspiration in our jump rope workouts database.
In the last article I mentioned that I wanted the challenge of building a Flash Inspired Jump Rope Workout without actually running….at all….
Well, this time I snuck Hawkeye in here because we recently had an article on the best resistance bands and one of them made me want to write about another archer.
In that article we took a look at the Gorilla Bow, and it is SOOOO cool I had to write a new workout around it, and thought there was no better way than to pair it with a rope.
A rope and a bow.
Now, the Gorilla Bow is a bit pricey so I’m going to be using movements that can all be scaled with any of the other resistance bands, so don’t worry: you can still train like Hawkeye if you don’t have one!
If you’re a member of The SHJ Army you’ve probably noticed that our Workout Database is growing into all different areas, and being that jump ropes are so effective, efficient, and portable, I made it a priority to make them a focus in our workouts.
With our Superhuman System being as successful as it is I also recently released our Jump Rope and Calisthenics 30 Day Superhuman Booklet for members to take advantage of as well (after running a 30 Day Jump Rope Challenge inside our Academy) and I’ve been blown away with the results.
Don’t have a jump rope!?
Here’s my list of the Top 5 Jump Ropes and Speed Ropes for Every Fitness Level.
But if your love of Hawkeye brought you here, but you’re not really ready for the intensity that a jump rope brings, don’t worry…we have you covered!
We also have a couple other Hawkeye inspired workout routines you could give a shot:
And that Ronan workout is actually one of my favorite Superhero Workouts on the entire site!
Nevertheless, we will still be building this with Hawkeye inspiration.
I think a jump rope is great to build his physique, but I do want to get a little advanced with our skips being that Hawkeye can pull off some parkour and stunts, and therefore we need to replicate those with our training.
We’ll be using our Gorilla Bow which is giving us The Hawkeye feel right away, but the movements I build with that will allow us to really make this program quite versatile and keep it as a full body workout.
Get ready.
The Hawkeye Inspired Jump Rope Workout
Training Volume:
One Workout
(To Be Repeated)
Explanation:
Our new jump rope workouts can be completed in multiple different formats and are extremely easy to scale. They emulate our Superhuman System training and are incredible for both beginner and advanced users. You can complete them by doing the “Rounds” as sets (and breaking in between), or complete the entire thing as a circuit with no break (while keeping track of your time and looking to improve the next time you do it). You can also scale by dropping the sets, or scaling the movements; as well as adding breaks where needed.
Also, don’t forget to eventually level up your jump rope and/or speed rope as you progress through these jump rope workouts.
Want more like this?
If you want more training similar to this one you can grab our Jump Rope & Calisthenics 30 Day Superhuman Booklet that is built off the aspects we utilize in our Superhuman System and revolves around strictly jump rope and calisthenics to level you up!

The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & tradition pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
