Is Uncle Iroh your favorite character?
He actually came in at number two among our Most Popular Avatar Characters of All Time – and Zuko beat him out at number one – which I was slightly surprised by!
Which is part of the reason we’re seeing both of them added to our Jump Rope Workouts this week.
We are adding a ton of new workouts to our Avatar Inspired Workouts and Avatar Workout Placement Quiz, so make sure you check out all the other routines we have inspired by The Avatar Universe.
We’ve already seen Iroh here at SHJ, so we’ll be skipping the full breakdown of his powers and abilities, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: we’re still sticking to his prison routine theme!
Don’t have a jump rope!?
Here’s my list of the Top 5 Jump Ropes and Speed Ropes for Every Fitness Level.
But, as I said, this is definitely not the first ATLA Inspired Workout we’ve seen.
Here are a couple other Avatar: The Last Airbender workouts and articles (with routines listed) that we’ve seen here at SHJ:
- Most Powerful Avatar: The Last Airbender Characters of All Time
- Iroh Prison Inspired Workout Routine
- Aang Inspired Calisthenics Workout
As I mentioned above: we’re going to be using some similar formatting to what we’ve seen in our original Iroh inspired as well.
BUT, there will be a whole lot more intensity in this one considering we’re going to be skipping like we normally do.
And, to top it all off, I’m stepping up the skipping difficulty being that we’ll be working with volume based calisthenics work, but the movements themselves will be in their most simplistic variation/form.
So that means you better be ready for intensity.
The Iroh Inspired Jump Rope Workout
Training Volume:
One Workout
(To Be Repeated)
Explanation:
Our new jump rope workouts can be completed in multiple different formats and are extremely easy to scale. They emulate our Superhuman System and Core Program training and are incredible for both beginner and advanced users. You can complete them by doing the “Rounds” as sets (and breaking in between), or complete the entire thing as a circuit with no break (while keeping track of your time and looking to improve the next time you do it). You can also scale by dropping the sets, or scaling the movements; as well as adding breaks where needed.
Also, don’t forget to eventually level up your jump rope and/or speed rope as you progress through these jump rope workouts.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
