FILLER EPISODERS
Filler Episodes are the episodes in which nothing happens to affect the progress of the long-term story arcs or to develop the main characters, and no returning side characters, or other significant persons (other than the main characters), appear.
These are also sometimes made to take some time for the original manga to create new chapters.

WHAT DRAGON BALL Z FILLERS SHOULD YOU SKIP?
This is based on my opinion (and The SHJ Team), as well as a handful of other sources and opinions I've put together to give you the best breakdown of what you SHOULD (or in this case SHOULD NOT skip out of the filler).
You CAN watch or skip all of the Filler, of course, but here are some episodes we strongly recommend watching (maybe indicates that we love the episode but it's not as high a priority as the rest) if you do decide to skip through the extra filler episodes.
# | Episode Title | Type | Air Date |
---|---|---|---|
10 | A New Friend | DO NOT SKIP | 07/05/89 |
12 | Global Training | MAYBE | 07/19/89 |
39 | Friends of Foes? | DO NOT SKIP | 03/07/90 |
40 | Held Captive | DO NOT SKIP | 03/14/90 |
41 | Friends of Foes? | DO NOT SKIP | 03/21/90 |
42 | The Search Continues | DO NOT SKIP | 04/04/90 |
43 | A Friendly Surprise | DO NOT SKIP | 04/11/90 |
44 | Brood of Evil | DO NOT SKIP | 04/18/90 |
102 | Duel on a Vanishing Planet | MAYBE | 08/07/91 |
116 | Brief Chance for Victory | MAYBE | 11/13/91 |
124 | Z Warriors Prepare | DO NOT SKIP | 01/29/92 |
125 | Goku's Ordeal | DO NOT SKIP | 02/25/92 |
195 | Warriors of the Dead | MAYBE | 07/28/93 |
202 | Gohan's First Date | MAYBE | 09/29/93 |
274 | Mind Trap | MAYBE | 08/09/95 |
In our opinion these are GOOD filler episodes that you should watch regardless of how you decide to skip through the rest 🙂
