As I mentioned in Mohammad Alai Jr.’s Jump Rope Inspired Workout: we’re switching it up a bit this week.
Normally our jump rope workouts are circuits inspired off of characters we’ve already seen at SHJ, but this week we have two characters (Alai Jr. and Katsumi Orochi) that we haven’t had here before.
The reason for this is that Baki Hanma released on Netflix and you guys are LOVING the Baki Inspired Workouts that are being added to the site.
So much so that you requested we prioritize the release of our Unofficial Baki Workout Booklet and put together our Baki Workout Placement Quiz as soon as possible (which we did).

But, like I said, this definitely isn’t the first time we’re seeing a Baki Inspired Workout here at SHJ.

For Alai Jr.’s routine we used boxer skips and some other boxing style techniques – but seeing as how we’re going to be working around Shinshinkai Karate we’ll focusing in on intensity, speed, and explosiveness.

The Katsumi Orochi Inspired Jump Rope Workout

Explanation:
Our new jump rope workouts can be completed in multiple different formats and are extremely easy to scale. They emulate our Superhuman System and Core Program training and are incredible for both beginner and advanced users. You can complete them by doing the “Rounds” as sets (and breaking in between), or complete the entire thing as a circuit with no break (while keeping track of your time and looking to improve the next time you do it). You can also scale by dropping the sets, or scaling the movements; as well as adding breaks where needed.
Also, don’t forget to eventually level up your jump rope and/or speed rope as you progress through these jump rope workouts.
