We’ve waited long enough.
Just because Marvel wants to neglect Hawkeye doesn’t mean we can too!
Jeremy Renner is just so dang amazing, I’m not quite sure how we haven’t already had him on the site.
But, I suppose I’m the only one to blame…
We’ve seen him as Hawkeye, The Town, The Hurt Locker, Mission Impossible, and so many more incredible movies – and it’s time to get his routine up here before Infinity War hits theaters!
Jeremy Renner Stats:
Height: 5’10
Weight: 181 lbs
Age: 47 years old
Jeremy Renner isn’t “short” per se, but he doesn’t even hit the average mark that we see at SHJ which is around 6’1-6’3.
This range is guys like Stephen Amell, Chris Pratt, Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans (I’m sorry I can’t help but put all the Chris’ together), Hugh Jackman, Adam Driver, and so many more.
Renner falls right under that with guys like Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender, Ezra Miller, Andrew Garfield and a few others.
We also have a ton of taller guys like The Mountain, Dwayne Johnson, Joe Manganiello, Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher and more.
And, we can’t forget about the shorter guys like Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg, Zac Efron, Kit Harington, Daniel Radcliffe, and a bunch of the other guys at that range.
Either way though, don’t worry.
These routines can be used by anyone and everyone.

Jeremy Renner Diet and Nutrition
Some websites that are out there explaining Jeremy Renner’s diet say much of the same.
Things basically stating that he eats a healthy, nutritious diet, consisting of lean meats and high protein and vegetables.
One even states:
Jeremy’s diet consists of simple, clean and natural foods.  Some of the main pillars of his diet include lean meat, fresh fruits and vegetables.  He is very conscious about his health, he is above 40 but still he looks young and healthy only because of hard workout and healthy diet.
But, I also wanted to dig up some other information from interviews, or directly from the source!
That being said, I found a good source from a Yahoo article regarding his Instagram posts!
Renner trolled Chris Pratt’s strict diet by posting a picture of him chomping down on Doritos with Pratt’s face on the bag around the premier of Guardians!
I share this because I want to make it clear that it’s okay to not always be absolutely strict 100% of the time. It’s okay to follow the 80/20 rule to sustainability.
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais, & Eat Fat, Lose Fat) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hopper, and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Jeremy Renner Workout Routine Research
Renner’s workout routine is much like his diet and nutrition.
There are a handful of websites that have built routines for him, but not much information “from the source”.
And, by this, I mean I like to use information from interviews and the celebs actual mount (sometimes social, like we did above).
So, for that, I dug a little deeper.
PerezHilton’s site has him quoted around the time of his Bourne roles ending stating:
Now that the movie is over, how has he been doing fitness wise?
“I haven’t been in the gym in three-and-a-half months and I’m very happy about that.”
He described his routine during filming:
“You get up at four in the morning and work out for eight hours and fight and stretch and do all this stuff because it’s part of your job. But I’m not doing that if I’m not working.”
That’s pretty intense!
I was also able to find a pretty fun Business Insider article/interview about his role as Hawkeye as well.
They spoke about how Renner trained under Olympic archers to help with his role, and Renner himself stated:
“Real archery is not superhero Hawkeye archery,” he said. “So [the training] kind of helped but it kind of got in the way, as well. I did train to shoot arrows.”
Another fun fact from the article is regarding his music:
“I make a playlist for every character I play,” he said. “Music can transport you into a mood or place of mind that you need to be in. I love music for that.”
Which Business Insider continues with: “He didn’t reveal what tunes made it onto the Hawkeye playlist, though we’d guess he’s the alternative rock type.”
They might be onto something…
And last but not least, I’ll end with one more fun quote:
When all else fails, Renner has a small routine to amp up before the director calls action.
“I stretch. I literally stretch,” he said, hopping up from the couch on stage to demonstrate and drawing an imaginary bow. “Pop a hip here, pop a hip there. Make sure I have blood flowing through my body.”
So, we might see some stretching, but be sure to have your playlist ready!
Let’s do this!
