We have another awesome SHJ SuperHuman transformation.
This time we’re talking about a marathon runner.
Matt is an artist who lives in Bangkok, Thailand with his family.
He took on a half marathon, which led to a full marathon and prompted him finding SHJ and joining The SHJ Army, and eventually The Academy.
Much of Matt’s transformation took place when he started running and training for his marathons, but it continued when he began implementing the things we utilize at SHJ, including intermittent fasting.
You can check out Matt’s artwork at his site Matt Clark Art, and also on his Instagram page.
Matt’s Stats:
Height: 6’3
Weight: 210 down to 175 lbs
Age: 38 years old
1. Who are you? (If you’d like, tell us about you. Work, other hobbies, Etc.)
Matt Clark. I’m an artist. I have a beautiful wife and three awesome children. We live Bangkok, Thailand.
2. Tell us about your transformation (weight loss, goals, etc)
I suppose my big transformation started 6-7 years ago when I signed up for my first ever half marathon. I went from around 210 down to 200. I continued to run and eventually started training for marathons. As my mileage and speed increased, my weight generally went down. My best time came just before we moved to Thailand- I came in at 3:40 weighing in at about 190. What bothered me though was that I was kinda skinny-fat/soft with really thin arms and a little belly. I started to look for a way to keep the cardio up while putting on some muscle.
3. How did you find SHJ?
I bumped into SHJ through a link to one of the celebrity workout routines.
4. What program did you start with?
I started with the Brad Pitt workout. I liked that it allowed for plenty of cardio. I was able to build it into my marathon training fairly seamlessly. As I started to look around the site, I also picked up intermittent fasting which was a game changer. I was able to drop fat and add muscle while still running(way too much).
5. What is your favorite superhero (or character)?
I was a huge Wolverine/X-men comic fan growing up.
6. Favorite Superhero or Nerd Show/Movie (Can give top 3 of each)
Well, shoutout to all the great superhero movies I grew up on like the original Star Wars trilogy, Superman (Christopher Reeve), Indiana Jones, Batman (Keaton)- almost any of the current marvel MCU are better movies though- I especially like Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy.
7. Whatever else you’d like to add (Maybe some of your own tips for the SHJ Army)
I really appreciate that SHJ makes working out fun. It also makes my workouts focused. I drop whatever routine I want to do into my Full Fitness App and go to the gym with a clear plan. What makes it so sustainable for me is the results. I’ve just gotten so much fitter, so much faster than anything else I’ve tried.
I also like to use results as a motivator. For Matt it’s the results that make it sustainable.
And that, the sustainability, is what we strive to allow people to find inside The Academy and at Superhero Jacked.
Matt is definitely a go-getter. He took a half marathon on head first and continued to train for a marathon. And he didn’t stop there. He wanted more. And in this case that meant the desire to change up his physique a bit.
Which led to him finding SHJ.
If you want something you have to get out there and get it. Do something. Take action.
Matt shows us that and more in this transformation.
Thank you for sharing your story, Matt. It’s stories like this that motivate me, and I’m sure others as well. Keep up the amazing work, and keep sharing your success in The Academy.
