Samuel L. Jackson might not strut a ripped physique, but he sure as hell deserves a spot at SHJ.
He’s always been in decent shape, and his character portrayals alone deserve their own spots!
We’re talking about a man that plays both Nick Fury, Mace Windu, Frozone and Elijah Price, and that’s not even nearly saying enough about his roles.
Could you even imagine?
We’re talking Pulp Fiction, Jungle Fever, Shaft, Kingsman, Die Hard, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Coach Carter, Jackie Brown, and wow so many more.
I can’t even begin to put a dent in this man’s legacy, but I will do my damn best to do this article justice.
 Samuel L. Jackson Stats:
Height: 6’2.5
Weight: (approximate) 183 lbs.
Age: 70 years old
That’s not a typo. Samuel L. Jackson is really 70 years old.
It’s about time we gave the man some credit at SHJ.
The average height falls in the range of 6’1-6’3 with celebs like Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Adam Driver, Stephen Amell, Clive Standen and so many more.
Guys around 5’10-6’0 are dudes like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Jason Statham, but the ACTUAL shorter range is filled with guys like Mark Wahlberg, Zac Efron, Kit Harington, Tom Holland and more.
Even taller than them are guys like The Mountain, Joe Manganiello, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Winston Duke, Alexander Skarsgard and a few others.
But, don’t worry either way.
We write these routines to be utilized by any shape and size.

Samuel L. Jackson Diet and Nutrition
Samuel L. Jackson didn’t really utilize strict dietary guidelines.
Maybe for role prep here and there, but in everyday life he would eat what he wanted, when he wanted.
That was until a big shift.
Daily Mail UK tells us:
To help him keep up with his busy movie-making schedule, last year Samuel switched to a vegan diet. He explained that the real reason for this shift in his eating habits was for the sake of his health, explaining with a chuckle that he was ‘just trying to live forever’. Thanks in part to the new regime, not to mention his gym workouts, Samuel lost a huge 40-pounds.
Forty pound weight loss is pretty significant.
Sometimes all it takes is a restriction or two on your guidelines to allow you to really cut down on the daily calories.
Keep in mind, that doesn’t mean Jackson doesn’t splurge.
The title of the article is actually:
How to stay young the Samuel L Jackson way: gym workout, electronic cigarette and plenty of liquid refreshment close at hand
Which is also completely fine.
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.

“I love acupuncture and cupping,”
And while normally we wouldn’t add these things to a workout routine, I think it’s important to note considering we’re talking about a man that is 70 years old who is still looking, and moving amazingly.
