From Ryan Reynolds favorite cheat meal to Scarlett Johansson’s favorite cheat meal.
I didn’t plan that around the fact that they were once married, it just kind of happened that they ended up being our first two celebrity cheat meals to get their own articles.
As this only the second one we’re seeing outside of all the celebrity diets we’ve see in our Celeb Diet Database and Workout Database (hundreds and hundreds of our original celebrity research included both nutrition and training), it will be slightly repetitive, but I promise it’s worth the read to know why we’re suddenly focusing in on cheat meals and indulgences even more than we have in the past.
One of the core values here at SHJ is the fact that fitness doesn’t have to suck.
We like to cut through the BS within the fitness industry and focus on what really matters and what will really drive our transformations forward.
Things that make our progress sustainable by being the most effective and efficient methods.
I have learned these techniques from researching nearly 500 of the world’s top performers ranging from celebrities to athletes and more.
I’ve even written a book about it with tons of case studies!
But recently I’ve been doing my best to bring us back to those core values I first mentioned so that the 1000+ articles don’t cloud out what really matters.
That’s why we’ve recently been seeing articles like:
- The Four Key Components of Your Transformations
- The Two MAIN Reasons People Don’t Lose Weight, Gain Muscle and Unleash Their Inner Superhero
It all leads back to our core values.
And the research agrees and supports it as well! We’ve seen The Top Diets Among Celebrities come in with indulgences being includes in an incredible amount of celeb diets.
Which is also something we include in our 4-Tier-Nutrition-System utilized within all our Core Programs and The SHJ Nutrition System.
So if there’s one thing you take away from this article – outside of the cheat meal – I hope it’s the realization that it’s okay to be human, fitness doesn’t have to suck, and indulgences for sustainability are a key component of your transformation!

ScarJo and E! Online Interview:
“When you’re that disciplined, you don’t feel that bad … the cheat meal doesn’t exist.” Johansson’s indulgence of choice? While filming “Ghost In the Shell,” it was chocolate cake.
NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 Piece/Slice of Chocolate Cake
Calories: 537 Calories
Fat: 28g
Carbs: 73g

Extra Notes: One piece of a traditional chocolate cake, with frosting (because c’mon, if we’re indulging we’re not scraping the frosting off, right), comes in at a whopping 537 calories. That means if we go back for seconds we’re already half way through my daily caloric intake on an aggressive cut!
