Jennifer Aniston is extremely open about her diet and nutrition.
Although, this isn’t the first timr we’ve research Aniston here at SHJ.
We learned a ton about her in our original Jennifer Aniston Workout Routine and Diet article, and I even use her as a big case study in my book Superhuman Secrets.
And then we went on to learn about how her training has developed over the years with follow up research, BUT, in this article we’re going to specifically zoom into her nutrition even more than we did in the original.
In our first article we did get a bunch of information about Aniston’s daily regime that we will be using to build this one, but we’re also going to be bringing in other sources as well.
For example, we sourced Elle Magazine telling us about some typical breakfast, lunches and dinners; but now we’re also going to wrap in Bon Appetit and E! News as well!
In an interview with Bon Appetit they ask Aniston about typical breakfast choices:
What’s your typical breakfast like?
I’ve got three different ones. Sometimes it’s a smoothie—bananas, cherries, a protein powder of some sort, almonds, cacao powder, and all sorts of other weird antioxidant stuff I can’t remember—with almond milk. Other times I have eggs over-easy—I crack them into a bowl and I’ll add a white or two into that and pour it all into the pan to get more protein sans too much yolk age. I’ll have that with avocado toast sprinkled with olive oil and salt and pepper. The other option is oatmeal with egg whites whipped into it right at the end.
Another great question from Bon Appetit is when they asked Aniston her favorite midnight snack!
Here’s how they share it:
Favorite midnight snack.
I’m so not a midnight snacker, but sometimes I’ll get a frozen yogurt. For flavors: Vanilla or chocolate or coffee. And toppings? Granola, if there is any to be had.
We shared from Elle in the original Jennifer Aniston Workout and Diet article, starting with her breakfast as well:
JA: “When I wake up, I have warm lemon water and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs, which is one of my favorites,” Aniston says. “I sprinkle a little coconut oil on that. Sometimes, I’ll have a puffed millet cereal with a banana or I’ll do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end.”
Just to give you an idea of how she switches up her breakfast choices.
She also goes on to talk about lunch and dinner, stating:
Lunch for Jen is “some form of vegetables or salad with protein—pretty basic” and dinner is “probably the same.” Between meals, she sometimes snacks on “maybe an apple and almond butter” or just an apple and some nuts.
“Pasta has taken over as my new favorite go-to-town food,” Aniston says, again crediting her husband, for the about-face. “Yes, he has brought the pasta back into my life,” she says. “I don’t know whether I should thank him or hate him for that.”
“I do thank him,” she decides, because he makes pasta carbonara and it is “irresistible.”
“I’ve learned how to make it,” she continues, “and it’s not that bad for you! It’s just an egg, parmesan cheese, and a little pasta water. And we substitute turkey bacon for real bacon, so, you know.”
Don’t worry, though, I’ll be breaking it all down for you nice and neatly below.
Aniston also told Yahoo! Food:
“I don’t let eating habits get out of control where I need a reset button,”
Which definitely is something we see among the top performers. It’s all about simple, little indulgences to make your overall nutrition sustainable and efficient.
That’s why our SHJ Nutrition System (and Core Programs) are literally built around a 4-Tier-Nutrition-System that includes daily indulgences.
But, okay, time to break it down.
