Did you know Wesley Snipes has been training martial arts since he was 12 years old?
Oh, and he has multiple black belts. The man is a badass.
Yeah, we’re over here making Coach Derek Mellino proud again. Well, maybe not “we”, but at least Wesley is.
I’d like to see Coach Derek and Mr. Snipes go a few rounds!
Okay, last thought, is it an unfair advantage that Snipes is also a vampire slayer? How do we know Coach Derek doesn’t do that in his spare time?…
Wesley Snipes Stats
Height: 5’9
Weight: (approximate) 180 lbs.
Age: 54
Wooo! Another badass SuperHuman over 50 years old and still looking awesome.
I especially love when these 40-50+ year old SuperHumans look even better than us….
I mean, take a look at Snipes, and Brad Pitt, who are over 50, and even guys like Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig, and Terry Crews who are 48+. All of them are nearly twice my age and still looking freakin’ sick. And, don’t even get me started with the 40+ category. The Workout Database features badass celebrities.
Wesley Snipes Diet and Nutrition
Wesley Snipes has a bulky but decently lean physique. Not quite as lean as what we’ve sometimes seen shown off from one of his co-stars Ryan Reynolds, but the bulkiness helps with towards the badass portrayal he’s trying to give.
Utilizing the Nutrition Pillars, I’d suggest intermittent fasting combined with cyclical ketosis, calorie counting, and making sure the hit your protein intake daily.
Keeping your diet clean is going to be important if you want to put on clean mass like we’ve seen other guys do. Funny enough, both Terry Crews and Hugh Jackman have both utilized intermittent fasting in order to bulk up and stay lean.
And, I didn’t even plan that one out.
Wesley Snipes Workout Routine Research
For those of you who have seen Blade Trinity, you know there’s a clip of them all discussing the training for Reynolds, Jessica Biel and Snipes.

One thing they make clear is that they train with a lot of cardio, a lot of weight training, and a lot of volume.
Sheesh!
Keep in mind, they’re talking about this intense training only over the course of a three month time span. So, while it might not be sustainable, we can break it down and turn it into a routine that can be used daily for a longer period of time.
Also keep in mind we already discussed the fact that Snipes is a badass martial artist. That’s definitely going to need to be incorporated within the training system.
I also found that Snipes likes to incorporate yoga, pilates, and other training into his routine as well. He was quotes saying about his role in Blade:
“I have a great deal of fun playing Blade. The lifestyle of it, the controlled rebelliousness, is wonderful to me. And it’s therapeutic, too. A role like this lets you vent.”
Speaking of therapeutic, we’ll definitely be incorporating the yoga, pilates and meditation type day in here!
