Wilson Bethel is a stud.
Actually, in one of the interviews I’m going to share he is referred to as a sex symbol.
He’s been seen shirtless in countless scenes of Hart of Dixie, made his way into Inherent Vice, Generation Kill, and now season three of Netflix’s Daredevil as Benjamin Poindexter!
We have a ton of other Daredevil celebs like Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Jon Bernthal, and Elodie Yung.
Plus the other casts of our Netflix/Marvel Original Series (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc) have a ton of celebs that have hit SHJ.
You can search for them right on the sidebar!
Wilson Bethel Stats:
Height: 6’0
Weight: (approximate) 180 lbs.
Age: 34 years old
Wilson Bethel just misses being categorized as “average” among male celeb heights on the site.
Don’t worry, Bethel, I’m off by a lot. You’re only off by one inch.
That average height falls in the range of 6’1-6’3 with celebs like Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Adam Driver, Stephen Amell, Clive Standen and so many more.
Guys around 5’10-6’0 are dudes like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Jason Statham, but the ACTUAL shorter range is filled with guys like Mark Wahlberg, Zac Efron, Kit Harington, Tom Holland and more.
Even taller than them are guys like The Mountain, Joe Manganiello, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Winston Duke, Alexander Skarsgard and a few others.
But, don’t worry either way.
We write these routines to be utilized by any shape and size.

Wilson Bethel Diet and Nutrition
Wilson Bethel, like many other celebrities we’ve seen at SHJ, chooses to pick and choose when he wants to be strict with his diet.
We recently had Tom Ellis’ routine and we know he would get more strict with his alcohol consumption and calories at times when he knew he would be shooting shirtless scenes.
Well, Bethel does a lot of shirtless scenes.
In an interview with TV Fanatic, Bethel shares a bit more information about his dieting:
TVF: Is it safe to assume in this downtime when you’re not shooting that you can kind of let the diet go a little bit?
WB: That’s just who I am. I don’t work out to be on Hart of Dixie. I just enjoy being outside. I enjoy being active. So that’s kind of how I roll. Makes it easier. As I’m stroking my chin, thinking about going back to get another breakfast taco. [NOTE: They were VERY good!] Well, I’ve already had breakfast once this morning, so this is round two.
Also similar to a lot of celebs we see, especially reminding me of Jason Momoa and Manu Bennett, Bethel mentions being extremely active.
Let’s keep that in mind when we get into his workout routine.
But for now let’s talk more about his diet and nutrition and how they compare to other celebs we’ve seen. Â
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We see a lot of celebs opt for this type of sustainable approach with intuitive eating and hard training regimes.
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir, Ruby Rose and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.

Wilson Bethel Workout Routine Research
Hopefully you didn’t miss the part about Wilson Bethel being extremely active.
That’s going to be a huge factor in this.Â
In another interview, this time with Cosmopolitan (the same interview that refers to him as a sex symbol), we get some more information about his activity level:
What do you like doing when you’re not working?
“I spend a lot of time outside. I love the beach, hiking, spending time with my girl and my dog Tucker.”
And Bethel sports the lean and chiseled look that can be acquired with a low body fat percentage.
How you acquire that (the low body fat) is what we’ll be working on with a solid diet and the workout routine.
And, before I say that we’re strictly basing Bethel’s workout around activity, I want to also share some more information.
Bethel was shared in a picture with Charlie Cox (Daredevil), and Cox’s (and presumably now his) personal trainer Naqam Washington on Instagram.
The picture was later taken down by Washington, who originally posted it to his personal account, but I’ve shared it above.Â
It was posted after the three shared an intense workout together, so we’ll also be utilizing training methods we saw used by Cox.
Are you ready?
Let’s do this.

Wilson Bethel Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3+ days per week
Explanation:
Wilson Bethel is extremely active. He has now implemented a workout routine to take it up a notch for his role in Daredevil, but his physique shown in Hart of Dixie and other roles is from getting out there and using his fitness. For that reason, I’m going to program you 3 days of training in the gym, but another 2+ days a week should be you getting outside and burning some cals and getting moving!
Superset Explanation for Day Three:
Do not break until all movements of the superset are complete one full time. Then break and repeat the process for 4 total sets of the superset.
Ex: Do exercise 1 for 12 reps, continued by exercise 2, and exercise 3, and then break and repeat this process.
