Tokyo Revengers is one of the most popular anime around right now.
It’s about a down-on-his-luck fellow who finds himself 12 years in the past and decides to use this opportunity to infiltrate a local gang in order to prevent the death of his girlfriend in the future by the same gang he joins.
This is sort of like a time-jump anime, where the actions of the protagonist in the past alter his present and becomes his future. Needless to say, it’s a doozy of an anime to wrap your head around. I have to say, though, the battle scenes in this anime are just so good.
What’s so interesting for me is that despite the violent battles, at the heart of it, it’s an anime about protecting those closest to you, and that’s something I can really get behind.

Number Ten: Shuji “Zombie” Hanma
Gang: Tokyo Manji

Starting off our list of The Most Popular Tokyo Revengers Characters of All Time we have Kisaki’s right hand man, Shuji Hanma!
Shuji is an adrenaline junkie who craves excitement above all else. He has little regard for the collateral damage of his street brawls and even less value for his own life. He joins the Tokyo Manji gang out of boredom and follows along with their plans so long as he gets his adrenaline fix and can fight whomever he wants.

Number Nine: Izana Kurokawa
Gang: Tenjiku

Coming in at number nine on the list of the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters of all time is Izana Kurokawa!
Izana is the former leader of the Black Dragon gang and is currently the leader of the Tenjiku. He is a ruthless and cruel leader and looks down on others and will make them feel horrible just to prove he is superior to them. He has the ability to predict his opponents’ moves in battle and can therefore counter them easily and subdue his enemies.

Number Eight: Kakucho “Kaku-chan” Hitto
Gang: Tenjiku

At number eight among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters of all time is Izana’s right-hand man, Kukucho Hitto!
Kakucho is one of the Tenjiku’s 4 Heavenly Kings and is second only to Izana’s fighting prowess. He was able to defeat Souya Kawata, one of the Vice-Captains of the Tokyo Manji gang. After the gang’s disbandment, he becomes a business executive. There’s something to be said about honor among thieves, and Kakucho remained steadfast in his loyalty to Izana until his passing.

Number Seven: Haruki “Pah-chin” Hayashida

Next up among our most powerful Naruto characters of all time is Pah-chin Hayashida!
Haruki Hayashida is a former division captain of the Tokyo Manji gang and was a strong combatant. He could take out three guys without breaking a sweat. Although he was considered to be rash and reckless in the beginning of the anime, his stint in a detention facility has changed him and he has become a successful businessman running a real estate company quite well. Haruki is proof that we can change for the better.

Just missing the top five and coming in at number six among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters is the First Division captain of the Tokyo Manji gang, Keisuke Baji!
Keisuke has a very wild personality, and like Shuji, is an adrenaline junkie. However, he is also perceptive and sees who the true enemies of the gang are, which shows his intellect. He is an incredible actor, being able to fool even the most clever members that he truly defected to another gang. He embodies the traits of toman – being fiercely loyal and willing to risk his life for his friends.

Number Five: Ran Haitani
Gang: Rokuhara Tandai
Rank: Second-in-Command
Starting our Top 5 most popular Tokyo Revengers characters is Ran Haitani, the older brother of Rindo Haitani, and the ruler of Roppongi. He and his brother take over the district after they mercilessly beat up the previous leadership who believed they could take on the brother in a one-on-one fight. Ran has a calm demeanor and is always with a whimsical smile on his face. He is very aggressive when he fights and sometimes uses extreme violence to win his battles, like when he beat up an opponent using a metal bat.

Number Four: Chifuyu Matsuno

At number four among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters of all time is the Vice-Captain of the First Division, Chifuyu Matsuno!
While not the strongest member in the gang, Chifuyu nonetheless has a fighting prowess skilled enough to rule his school and which even made the seniors afraid of him. Chifuyu has a logical and calm attitude and likes to plan things before jumping into action. He is a loyal gang member and is willing to go up against people in higher positions if he feels that they have done some kind of wrongdoing, regardless of their power or station.

Number Three: Takemichi “Partner” Hanagaki

Initially having low self-esteem, Takemichi develops an entirely different personality from all of his jumps back in time. He develops an indomitable spirit and becomes the unofficial leader of Toman as he guides Mikey, Draken, and all the other members on the right path. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and willing to give up his life to protect his loved ones.

Number Two: Manjiro “Mikey” Sano

Coming in at number two among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters of all time is the leader of the gang, Manjiro Sano or Mikey!
I should make a point to say: Manjiro is the most powerful human in the series.
He has incredible fighting prowess and is most famous for his High Right Roundhouse kick, which KOs any opponent that gets caught by it. Because of his martial arts training, he has superb speed, stamina, reflexes, and endurance, and can’t be caught off-guard by surprise attacks. As the leader of the gang, Mikey is able to command all the members into taking action, as seen when he rallies them to take revenge for a fallen member’s friend.

Coming in at number one among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters is the Tokyo Manji Gang’s second in command – Ken Ryuguji!
Ken is much like President Mikey – he loves to seek out fights and loves meeting strong opponents. He is the more mature of the two leaders and can see the logic in not defending oneself in certain situations, as when he forced Mikey to bow down and take his scolding rather than defend his actions to their father.
Ken is also a caring individual. While he may not say in words how he feels about those he loves, he does show them he cares through his actions and is willing to be there to protect Mikey.
