For this one we're going to be breaking down the top ten best Blue Lock players!
I don't want to phrase it as the top ten best Blue Lock characters because then it sounds like we're ranking them on something other than skill.
For this one we're trying to score them on their talent and skill to come away with our most skilled Blue Lock players overall.
I'll be pulling from other sources and comparing almost half a dozen other lists built by mega-fans and then cross checking that with my own list to come away with the best list possible for us.

TOP TEN BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
HONORABLE MENTION: SHOEI BARO
To start off our list of the best Blue Lock players I want to bring in an honorable mention that you guys think would have easily made the list if we were to only be counting current Blue Lock anime characters: Shoei Baro!
Baro was one of the top requests for Blue Lock character workouts we've had on the site behind some of the most popular characters in the entire series.
Baro definitely comes in as a super skilled player, so on top of his popularity among The SHJ Army I thought it was only right to feature him and give credit where credit is due.

NUMBER TEN: RENSUKE KUNIGAMI
Starting off our real list of the best Blue Lock players is Rensuke Kunigami!
Although Kunigami was eliminated in the second round he rejoined the other contenders during the Neo Egoist League after the U-20 match ended. He also shows off that he is a high powered left footer shooter, which is a rare breed.
His Fandom page also notes this about his skills: "After emerging from his time in Wild Card, Kunigami's physical abilities have been noted to have skyrocketed since his last appearance in Second Selection and he can now use both feet to score albeit his non-dominant kick being weaker."

NUMBER NINE: HYOMA CHIGIRI
Next up, at number nine among our best Blue Lock players is Hyoma Chigiri!
Our speedster, Chigiri, made it onto every list I examined within the top ten besides one, and even landed within the seven to eight range on a couple.
I personally had him at number ten or so, which brings him in fairly at number nine!
Chigiri is off to a slow start, just skimming by at the beginning of Blue Lock, but once he decides to let go of his fears he joins the ranks of some of the top strikers!
Hyoma Chigiri at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER EIGHT: MEGURU BACHIRA
Coming in at number eight among the best Blue Lock players is Meguru Bachira.
Bachira found himself between the ranking of five and ten on almost every list, with one list even bringing him in at number four!
I personally ranked him right around number eight and with the roundup of all of the lists I looked at I felt confident keeping him here.
Bachira came in ranked at #7 at the start of Blue Lock and kept that level talent throughout, even improving his dribbling as the story progressed.
Meguru Bachira at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER SEVEN: AGI
At number seven among the best Blue Lock players is Agi.
I didn't personally have Agi within my top ten, but saw him closer to top twenty.
On my main list I had one of our runner up characters in this seven slot: Tabiro Karasu, Oliver Aku, Kenyu Yukimiya, Reo Mikage or even Eita Otoya.
I'm curious to see what you guys think for this one. A lot of other lists have Agi rolling in their top ten, so after seeing it enough I decided he deserved his spot here.

NUMBER SIX: RYUSEI SHIDO
Just missing our top five, coming in at number six on our list of the best Blue Lock players is Ryusei Shido!
Shido is another character that has an insane level of popularity among our SHJ Army, with requests flooding in for his workout.
I personally had Shido ranked around five, with one list even placing him at number three, but the other placements dropped his spot to six.
Shido is a goal poacher, but that doesn't stop his popularity...or his skill. Do you think he deserves this slot at number six or should he have been up or down a few slots?
Ryusei Shido at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER FIVE: SEISHIRO NAGI
Starting off our top five best Blue Lock players is Seishiro Nagi!
Nagi came in between ranks four and five among every single list I found and I agree with the number five slot just based on the next four characters we're going to break down.
Here's a snippet from how his Fandom breaks down some of his skills: "With Nagi's, perfect ball control, flexible movements, and technical ability he is able to breathe life into even the most difficult or hopeless plays. He alone has made the most outrageous goals in Blue Lock due to this skill and he continues to evolve into a creative playmaker."
Seishiro Nagi at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER FOUR: RIN ITOSHI
Next up, at number four among our best Blue Lock players is Rin Itoshi.
The top two characters were much easier to rank in, and without fail among every single list got their slot, but Rin Itoshi and our next character swapped on almost every list back and forth.
Who do you think is the better player?
Does Rin Itoshi deserve his slot at number four among the best Blue Lock players or is he within the top three?
Rin Itoshi at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER THREE: YOICHI ISAGI
Starting off our top three best Blue Lock players is Yoichi Isagi!
As I mentioned above: Isagi and Itoshi went back and forth among every single list I crosschecked between spots three and four.
I personally have Isagi within the top three players, but maybe that's some bias considering I'm also into Progression Fantasy books (lol).
Is he in your top three as well or do you place him closer to top five?
Yoichi Isagi at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER TWO: MICHAEL KAISER
Just missing the top slot among our best Blue Lock players is Michael Kaiser.
Kaiser and our top player got their number one and two slots on every single list I checked against, and I agree.
Here's how his Fandom breaks down his abilities and skills: "progression With an omnipotent vision, high football IQ, the fastest kick speed in the world and a powerful shot to match, Kaiser is the ace scorer for Bastard München. Kaiser is easily able to get into an ideal scoring position, receive any kind of pass, and create space for himself when pressured by the opposition to score effortless and illogical goals."
Michael Kaiser at SHJ:
THE BEST BLUE LOCK PLAYERS
NUMBER ONE: SAE ITOSHI
Coming in at the top slot among our best Blue Lock players is Sae Itoshi!
As I have now mentioned multiple times: Sae Itoshi and Michael Kaiser got their number one and two slots unanimously among every single list I cross-checked with, and I agreed.
I'm curious to see if he is also unanimously number one on your lists of the best Blue Lock players as well.
Where do you rank Sae Itoshi?
