Here’s one that has been requested countless times!
And I know people are going to be excited about it.
I apologize for not getting it out right around a season premiere of Power, but I’m sure everyone will forgive me.
Or I guess I should say I hope everyone will.
Hardwick is freakin’ jacked, and shows off his physique in the hit TV show Power, but has also starred in Kick-Ass, The A-Team, and Being Mary Jane.
He’s definitely a guy I would love to see take on some more roles, (maybe even one as a superhero?), and can definitely play a badass.
Omari Hardwick Stats:
Height: 5’10
Weight: (approximate) 187 lbs
Age: 44 years old
Omari Hardwick actually is just below average height among male celebs we’ve seen.
But he does fall into a specific group of men.
That average height falls in the range of 6’1-6’3 with celebs like Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Adam Driver, Stephen Amell, Clive Standen and so many more.
Guys around 5’10-6’0 are dudes like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Jason Statham, but the ACTUAL shorter range is filled with guys like Mark Wahlberg, Zac Efron, Kit Harington, Tom Holland and more.
Even taller than them are guys like The Mountain, Joe Manganiello, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Winston Duke, Alexander Skarsgard and a few others.
But, don’t worry either way.
We write these routines to be utilized by any shape and size.

Omari Hardwick Diet and Nutrition
Being that Omari Hardwick is so jacked, there are a couple interviews that he’s been in that ask him about his diet and workout.
Good for us.
Oh, and it gets even better. An interview with The New Potato actually provides us will a full days meals as well.
Here’s what Hardwick says:
“I would say for breakfast, I’m pretty OCD. It’s oatmeal with fresh berries and brown sugar, or toast and egg whites with turkey — and some orange juice and water,” he said.
“For lunch, I would say pasta to keep the energy going for the day — maybe a bow-tie pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs, sometimes with turkey meat. Also some steamed vegetables or a mixed salad with avocado and fruit. I tend to drink water all day, but maybe a ginger ale for lunch. I also like to treat myself to an oatmeal cookie.
“For dinner, pecan-crusted salmon if I’m feeling good or had a good workout. If not, just grilled salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. If I’m in a rush in Los Angeles, there is a place called Tender Greens that’s really good, fresh and inexpensive,” he added.
He then continues by telling us about what he likes to snack on at work:
“Apples, dried fruit, and trail mix,” he said. “The apple ritual is so big for me that the cast will bring them to me. They all try to figure out which ones I like best.”
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Omari Hardwick Workout Routine Research
In that same article from The New Potato they give us some information about Omari Hardwick’s workout routine as well.
When they ask Hardwick about his workout, he responds with:
I switch it up so much to trick my body. I’m doing Bikram yoga this week, but I take a lot of boxing classes. I also do sprints in the pool, a lot of hiking, sprinting up hills, meditation, and isometric work where I’m able to engage my core. I also play basketball when I can. My secret is drinking a lot of water, especially when I’m working.
We’ve definitely seen a lot of celebrities, who are ripped, opting for a lot of activity (and in turn: calorie burning)!
It’s also important to remember that Hardwick was an athlete growing up.
After graduating from college, Hardwick relocated to San Diego for a spot on the San Diego Chargers. However, a knee injury cut his football career short.
Which is why, although Hardwick does not mention much of it, there are a lot of pics of him getting in a workout with weights.
Actually, this is even what he tells us in an interview with Muscle and Fitness:
I’m not able to get in there all of the time, but I try to stay consistent. The main thing, especially the older I get, is to just get in there. HIIT workouts are very great, kind of like the boot camp workouts. Forty minutes to an hour a day is absolutely plenty. I like to lift weights with a really high-intensity, hitting all of my major muscles groups in one workout. Twice a week, I take Vinyasa yoga; it’s great because it really stretches out the muscles.
So while we’ll be revolving this routine around what Hardwick does to maintain his physique for Power, I’ll also be giving you some muscle building training for those of you who need to bulk up to Hardwick’s size to begin with.
Expect it to revolve around a 2-3 day, high intensity, full body split!
Let’s do this.

Omari Hardwick Workout Routine
Training Volume:
4+ days per week
Explanation:
Hardwick mentions training with a few days a week of high intensity, full body workouts (as much as he can get in, if any), and he also says he hits Vinyasa yoga twice a week, and boxes. So we’ll be forming our plan around 2 days of weight training that can be turned into 4, 2 days of yoga, and boxing/MMA programs.
Supersets and Circuits:
Supersets you take a break between each round (or after each full set of all workouts listed), and circuits there is no break until all rounds are completed.

Omari Hardwick Yoga and MMA Training:
We know Hardwick includes Vinyasa yoga into his training. While he says he often has a hard time getting to the gym, he also firmly states that he makes it to yoga about twice a week.
This is something to keep in mind. You can take a local class or utilize videos and programming for yoga in The Jedi Path of The Academy.
Hardwick is also big on boxing. Lucky for you, Coach Derek has programmed a ton of mixed martial arts and boxing programs right here on the site.
