We’re moving on from athletes back into some more celebrities that we’ve already had here at SHJ.
We had John Cena’s Diet Plan this week as well, and although I would classify him as an athlete, he is someone we’ve specifically had a full article workout and diet for previously.
Halle Berry falls right into that category as well.
Prior to this week we had seen Maria Sharapova’s Diet Plan, Carli Lloyd’s Diet Plan, Deontay Wilder’s Workout and even Abby Johnston’s Diet Plan!
This time we’re coming talking about how Berry looks ageless at 54 years old!
We’ll be building on top of our original Halle Berry Workout and Diet Plan article by bringing in some additional information and research to back up what she tells Harpers Bazaar.
The first thing we should make mention to is something we learned in that original article.
Halle Berry is diabetic, and told us this from an interview with LA Times:
HB: I was 19. I became much healthier as I learned how to manage it. It took a couple of years, and some scary situations, to accept that it was a lifestyle change and not a diet I could stop in six months. It meant learning to eat healthy and understanding that carbs break down to sugar quickly. I cut [most] processed sugar from my diet. … That’s not to say I won’t have a glass of red wine occasionally — it’s my guilty pleasure. [If I do], I make sure the rest of my meals that day are clean and healthy: lots of vegetables; no breads … and lots of water.
So make to to keep this in mind while we work our way through the breakdown of her full daily diet plan.
In our John Cena Diet Plan article I mentioned the fact that if you’ve been a member of The SHJ Army for a while you likely know that I utilize intermittent fasting and generally recommend a range of 14-18 hours for hunger level control within your diet.
It’s also something we utilize within our 4-Tier-Nutrition-System, including within our SHJ Nutrition System.
Halle Berry actually utilizes both intermittent fasting and keto!
Keto is helpful while being diabetic, and she also found that combining her first and second meal into one big meal to be helpful!
In an interview with Hollywood Life, Berry’s trainer told them a lot about her daily eating, including that her post workout meals were usually:
“A lot of the time she will have a steak with a big green salad and not butter lettuce, it has to be dark greens like spinach and kale. Or she will have shredded chicken over a dark green leafy salad. Or she might have two or three eggs, not egg whites, she eats the whole egg because the yolk is very important.”
He went on to tell a lot about her diet including some information about supplementation and green juices, all of which I’ll give you in the full breakdown below.
Also make sure to make a special note to Berry’s emphasis on water intake, which she starts her day with and continues going throughout!
