Warrior GODDESS sounds about right…
You know what I’m saying…?
We’re on a Thor Ragnarok (well, Thor in general) kind of week, having just seen Tom Hiddleston’s Loki routine, and Jaimie Alexander falls right in with her role as Sif.
She plays the Warrior Goddess, and definitely does a good job portraying a “goddess”. It even goes right over and does a great portrayal of such in her role in Blindspot where she turns up naked (yeah, it starts with Jaimie Alexander found naked, you read that right) and no memory.
But, she won’t be the first companion of Thor we’ve seen on SHJ, as Natalie Portman will keep the role as the first lady-partner to his our site for her portrayal of Jane Foster.
Jaimie Alexander Stats:
Height: 5’9
Weight: (approximate) 127 lbs.
Age: 33 years old
Jaimie is actually quite tall compared to the women we see at SHJ.
She stands among the taller with women like Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, and just a few others.
She stands above the average height like Jennifer Aniston, Emma Watson, Natalie Dormer, and Margot Robbie – while standing obviously taller than those even shorter like Emilia Clarke and Scarlett Johansson.

Jaimie Alexander Diet and Nutrition
Shape Magazine did a feature on Jaimie Alexander that really does tell us quite a bit about both her dietary restrictions and her workouts for getting into Blindspot shape.
She’s obviously carried that over to the big screen for Thor, and even Agents of SHIELD, but the information I found in the interview for the Blindspot is priceless.
In the interview Alexander states:
“I pretty much eat all day to keep my strength up. I’m primarily a vegetarian who has an occasional side of fish. When I trained for the movie Thor [Jaimie played the warrior goddess Sif], there were days when I was burning 4,000 calories and I had to slam lots of protein shakes. Now my day starts with a green shake called Garden of Plenty, which is packed with superfoods and grains. When I’m working, craft services makes me these amazing gluten-free wraps with lots of vegetables and ‘vegannaisse’ or hummus. I generally keep my diet pretty healthy, but if there’s pizza, I’ll eat it. And I will knock back a beer or some bourbon, too. I don’t deprive myself. And I hate being skinny. It’s not a good look for me. When I eat well and work out, I’m truly at my best.”
So, Alexander states that she’s a vegetarian, and when she’s training hard (like for Thor to become warrior goddess Sif) she slams down protein shakes!
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais, & Eat Fat, Lose Fat) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hopper, and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Jaimie Alexander Workout Routine Research
Researching more about Alexander tells us that she definitely can workout pretty hardcore for her roles.
Alexander states:
“I do what’s called a prison workout—a lot of sprint-interval work and burpees—which I have a love-hate relationship with. My latest obsession is Valslides by Valerie Waters. You can use them anywhere, on hardwood floors or carpet. I do lunges, push-ups, pikes, and ab work with them. I also have a TRX band and a jump rope in my trailer. And I love swimming. It’s a great low-impact high-cardio workout. I never did it as a kid, but for Blindspot, I trained with a Navy SEAL.”
We actually also just saw some versatile training from Tom Hiddleston as well; utilizing Special Forces styled training.
Alexander also tells us how she got into boxing:
“I wasn’t very healthy in my twenties—I sat around and ate a lot of crap, and my weight peaked at 150 pounds. Then I got the part in Thor. I felt as if I had a whole new purpose in life. I was like, I can do this, but I was so out of shape. Chris and I started boxing to train for our roles, and I became the athlete I was in high school. I lost 20 pounds and packed on a ton of muscle.”
But, that’s not all we have for the actress. We also have a ton of information from People Magazine as well.
An interview with her trainer tells us:
“She definitely loves doing both,” Lewis tells PEOPLE. “I love the lengthening of Pilates and really getting in touch with all of the muscles of the core – upper abdominals, lower abdominals. Not everyone always loves that slow work, so what we do is we take all of that stuff and we speed it up.”
And Lewis goes on to state:
“Pilates uses your own body weight in conjunction with the exercise,” says Lewis. “We’re using muscles from head to toe, firing core muscles and working arms, shoulders, glutes, hamstrings – everything all at once. Pilates is an all-encompassing diligence. It’s the most complete, fundamental exercise.”
Which gives us plenty to go off of!
It really seems that she has one of the most diverse routines we’ve seen among the programs we’ve done.
She keeps it simple, while also somehow mixing it up and diversifying her programming when needed. This is one way of keeping it extremely sustainable; like how we do it in The Superhero Academy.
