Lily Collins is currently making waves.
And she’s looking good while she does it.
Collins is starring in both the Netflix Original Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile about Ted Bundy with Zac Efron, and also Tolkien in the same week; as well as being the star of Mortal Instruments, Mirror Mirror, and more!
Lilly Collins also has written a book titled Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me, which shares a handful of information we will be utilizing in this article, as well as the normal research via interviews and more.
Lily Collins Stats:
Height: 5’5
Weight: (approximate) 120 lbs
Age: 30 years old
Lily Collins falls in our shorter range among women we’ve seen at SHJ.
And I was actually surprised to learn she is 30 years old!
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.

Lily Collins Diet and Nutrition
Lily Collins has shared information about her diet in both her book and in multiple interviews.
Part of that sharing is in regards to her past, in which she suffered from an eating disorder that she is very open about.
In her book Collins writes:
“I never had a problem eating whatever I wanted growing up in England or when I first moved to L.A.,” she writes in the book. “No one made me feel self-conscious or made me doubt how good I looked. This is why it’s hard for me to understand how I fell into such a deep trap years later—a trap I have slowly but surely been digging my way out of ever since.”
They go into much more detail in an interview with Byrdie, and I definitely suggest giving it a read if you’d like to know about how Collins has worked, and continues to work through it.
In an interview with Shape.com Collins states this about her diet:
“I’m a clean eater. I love chicken, fish, and vegetables and grains like quinoa, but I don’t eat red meat. I steer clear of processed foods. I’m very farm-to-table; growing up in the English countryside, it was a way of life, not a trend. I also treat myself to the occasional dessert when I’m out with friends. But on the daily, I want to give my body what it needs to be the best version of myself. When I splurge, it’s usually on things that I’ve baked, because it’s satisfying physically and emotionally. I’m not gluten-free or vegan, but I love baking things because of the sense of accomplishment I get from creating something that’s yummy and healthy. I make everything from doughnuts to birthday cakes and banana-walnut bread. There was a time when I wouldn’t let myself taste those kinds of foods, let alone make them. I bake from the heart. I put love out there, and it goes right back in.”
You’ll also find out she has her morning tea pre-workout!
But, in regards to her diet, she seems to have found a definitive happy place.
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Lily Collins Workout Routine Research
I bet you probably thought her diet and nutrition section was pretty insightful.
Well, I hope you did at least…
Because we have more where that came from!
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Collins states this about her morning workout:
9:00 A.M. I try to be active every day. I’ve been going to Body by Simone for a couple of years now. I work with a trainer doing isometrics and cardio, and it’s all about lengthening and toning and feeling good in your own skin. I have a lot of girlfriends who go too, and it’s a fun time in the morning. I grab tea on my way to the gym at the Coffee Bean nearby—the first person I speak to every day is probably the barista there. It’s nice to have a morning conversation at your local spot.
We’ve seen a big handful of other women who utilize Body by Simone in both LA and NYC, so this one will definitely be fun!
Collins also shares some more about her fitness in the interview with Shape, reinforcing her love for Simone.
She states:
“I’m a Pisces, so I love swimming whenever I can. I was on the track team in high school and hated it, but now I like to run by myself and listen to my music [check out her playlist in the magazine!]. But what I love most is Body by Simone. It’s a method that incorporates strengthening and toning. I’ve been training privately with a trainer there, and we do isometrics and ballet moves. It’s not CrossFit, but it keeps me on my toes. To be honest, I try to be active in some way every day: It’s my time to disappear and be in my own world. I can also push myself past what I thought I was capable of. Of course, if I’m traveling or tired, I give my body a rest. I used to feel guilty if I skipped a workout in the past, but now it just means life is offering up things that I want to do instead. Those ellipticals will always be there but experiences won’t.”
I highlighted the part about getting active everyday because I think it’s important to realize that many celebrities have this in common.
If it doesn’t “just happen” they are actively trying to get moving on a daily basis.
She also mentions “Those ellipticals”, which suggests she sometimes hits some cardio when she can’t make it to her private training.
