The Most Powerful Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Characters are a fun mix of Jojo characters and villains that make this list fun from start to finish.
We started off with requests flooding in for three of our big characters, but then requests died down ever so slightly (at least compared to other anime).
We had our Jonathan Joestar Inspired Workout, Dio Brando Inspired Workout and Jutaro Kujo Inspired Workout and then the requests for other shows you see filling up our Anime Workouts Database took over quite a bit.
Now the requests have come back in and we were able to get another handful of Jojo Inspired Workouts back here at SHJ to the point where we can almost warrant a mini-workout-database and Workout Placement Quiz like we’ve seen for some of the other shows!
Oh, and if you haven’t noticed: here at SHJ we LOVE anime and nerdy weeb stuff BUT we also love to stay fit and focus on fitness and nutrition.
Jotaro came in towards the top of our Most Powerful Anime Characters of All Time list – so these other characters have their work cut out for them – but I won’t spoil anything for you!

In order to build this one I’m going to be working with almost half a dozen lists and different sources to break down power levels and rankings among all the Jojo characters. You couldn’t imagine how many people have something to say about the most powerful Jojo characters of all time! For that reason I’ll be averaging it out and factoring in a bunch of different things in the process.

MOST POWERFUL JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE CHARACTERS
Number Ten: Vanilla Ice
Stand: Cream
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain in Stardust Crusaders Part Three
Starting off our list of the most powerful Jojo characters of all time is Vanilla Ice!
Vanilla Ice is probably the only character on the list that might surprise some people. He came in around the top eight to fifteen most powerful characters on most lists, and when averaged out he surpassed the characters on our runner up section.
Vanilla Ice’s Villains Wiki Fandom explains his Stand “Cream” as such: “Vanilla Ice’s Stand, Cream, swallows its user and itself, in turn, morphing into an invisible sphere of void which obliterates anything on its path. Despite being invincible while in this void form, Vanilla Ice is unable to see, having to return and look to aim his attacks.”

Number Nine: Weather Report
Stand: Weather Report
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Ally/Hero Part Six with Jolyne Kujo
Coming in at number nine among the most powerful Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure characters is Weather Report, also known as Wes Bluemarine!
Weather Report is a supporting character and ally to Jolyne Kujo in Part Six of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean!
Weather Report, who is named Wes Bluemarine, was actually born Domenico Pucci. We’ll actually be seeing his brother, Enrico Pucci, later on in this list. Both brothers happened to be extremely powerful. Weather Report’s Wiki Fandom tells us a tiny bit about his Stand by the same name here: “Weather Report’s homonymous Stand affords him a great degree of control over the weather, and/or the atmosphere.”
Weather Report came in as high as top five or six most powerful Jojo Characters on some lists while not even making the top ten on others!

Number Eight: Funny Valentine
Stand: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (or D4C)
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain Steel Ball Run Part Seven
Coming in at number eight among the strongest Jojo characters of all time is Funny Valentine!
Funny Valentine is extremely powerful. He’s also a veteran of the American Civil War and would later become the twenty-third President of the United States.
His Stand D4C makes him one of the most powerful characters in all of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Here’s how his Wiki Fandom page describes it: “With his Stand Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap/D4C, Funny Valentine can freely move between infinite alternate dimensions, given he has completely enclosed his body. In order to jump into another dimension, he must put himself in between two objects, being also able to carry other people with him. With this, he can infinitely swap his body out with another, making him seemingly invincible. If he brings a object or person from another universe, once they get close to their counterpart in the current universe both begin to fuse, being annihilated in the process. Only Valentine himself is immune to this effect, being able to freely interact with other Valentines and bring them with him.”

Number Seven: Diavolo
Stand: King Crimson
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain in Golden Wind Part Five
Coming in at number seven among the most powerful Jojo characters is Diavolo!
If you haven’t been able to tell from our list: a lot of our main villains throughout each part are going to be showing up here on the list. Our Jojo characters have had their work cut out for them!
Diavolo can literally erase time with his Stand: King Crimson. His Villains Fandom breaks it down in depth like this: “Diavolo’s Stand, King Crimson, has the power to “erase” time. To simplify it, he activates his power, which lasts for ten seconds. During this time, Diavolo is able to see every movement like a sketch. After his spell ends, anything that happened during the time his power was active will simply be erased out of existence, like it never happened. This not only will leave his enemy disoriented (thinking like it was teleported), but also allow Diavolo to predict his opponent’s moves and not only dodge it, but also position himself to counter the attack. Diavolo also has access to the sub-stand Epitaph, allowing him to see ten seconds into the future to see if he should erase that time.”

Number Six: Kars
Power: Light Mode / Ultimate Life Form
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain in Battle Tendency Part Two
Coming in at number six and just missing the top five strongest Jojo characters is Kars!
Kars is the leader of the Pillar Men, and the designer of the Stone Mask. Kars is also The Ultimate Life Form which allows him to acquire multiple abilities and skills. As you’d imagine, that makes him extremely powerful.
His Wiki Fandom describes his Light Mode as such: “Kars’ power is that of light; he is able to produce bladed appendages from his arms and legs and use these to reflect blinding light toward his enemies.” – while saying this about him being The Ultimate Life Form: “As the Ultimate Life Form, Kars’ body contains the DNA of every organism to ever live on the Earth. He can manipulate his entire body on a cellular level to gain the traits of any life-form.”
Similar to Weather Report I saw Kars listed as high as the top five or six most powerful Jojo characters as well as not even making some lists’ top ten!

Number Five: Enrico Pucci
Stand: Whitesnake, C-Moon and Made In Heaven
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain in Stone Ocean Part Six
Coming up next and making it to the top five most powerful Jojo characters is another Pucci: Enrico Pucci!
If you missed it before, Weather Report actually goes by Wes Bluemarine, but he was born as Domenico Pucci and is Enrico’s brother.
While Weather Report fights alongside Jolyne Kujo, Enrico Pucci is actually the main antagonist of Part Six and comes in a bit ahead of his brother in overall power level with his Stand: Made In Heaven.
Enrico Pucci’s first stand was actually Whitesnake, but what brings his power level to the point of sometimes even being ranked within the top three strongest Jojo characters of all time is his Stand Made In Heaven. Made In Heaven is broken down like this by his Villains Wiki: “his last and most powerful stand, could make time in the entire universe accelerate, at the point that the cosmos would restart and make history repeat itself. Everyone in the previous universe is warped to this new universe. If someone dies in the previous universe, this person would be replaced by a similar person, who would experience the same things as the previous person.”
Enrico Pucci at SHJ:
Number Four: Johnny Joestar
Stand: Tusk
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Hero and Jojo of Steel Ball Run Part Seven
Making it within the top four most powerful Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure characters is finally another one of our Jojo characters: Johnny Joestar!
Up until this point we’ve seen main villains of our series and Weather Report who happens to be brothers of one of the main villains! Now we’re finally getting out first Jojo, and I should mention that there are quite a few within the honorable mentions as well.
Johnny Joestar was almost always ranked within the top three strongest Jojo characters, with the exception of a couple rank four or five placements and it’s all due to his Stand Tusk – which the sources usually make specific mention to ACT4.
To tell you a bit more about it, here’s what his Wiki Fandom says about Tusk: “Johnny first seeks Gyro Zeppeli’s tutelage in the ways of the Spin in order to regain the use of his legs. Most often, Johnny channels the Spin by the use of his Stand,Tusk; developed first with the power of the Corpse’s left hand, and further with Gyro’s help. Its form varies, depending on the sort or style of Spin Johnny chooses to employ.”
And they go on to tell us this about ACT4: “ACT4 manifests itself as a result of Johnny utilizing Slow Dancer’s power combined with the golden rectangle, which enables Johnny to fire Golden Spin nail-bullets that have infinite rotation. ACT4 possesses the power to force open D4C Love Train’s dimensional wall, and trap anyone hit by it to a single spot indefinitely.”

Number Three: Dio Brando
Stand: The World
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Main Villain in Part One and Part Three
Starting out our top three most powerful Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Characters of all time we have the one and only Dio Brando!
First we get to see Dio as a powerful vampire and then he later even becomes a Stand user with the powerful Stand: The World.
It’s important to mention that the placement of Dio, and (spoiler alert) Jotaro Kujo at number three and two on this list are specifically resulting from Heaven Ascension. Without Heaven Ascension and Star Platinum Over Heaven we usually find the characters coming in around the top three to six range, sometimes even higher – but as some lists wanted to include this, I decided to bring them down a peg from the top two slots and average it out to the top two and three while making mention to Heaven Ascension’s existence.
That being said: Jotaro still comes in as his rightful spot at number two, as you’ll see next, but isn’t tied with Dio.
Dio Brando at SHJ:
Number Two: Jotaro Kujo
Stand: Star Platinum
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Hero and Jojo of Stardust Crusaders Part Three
Moving onto Jotaro Kojo, who comes in as the second most powerful Jojo character, we’ll continue talking a bit about both him AND Dio.
As I mentioned, their Stands, The World, and Star Platinum, are more than enough to have them listed within the top five strongest characters almost every single list. That being said, when averaged out with the lists that have them coming in at the top two due to Heaven’s Ascension moving Dio up a few pegs.
Jotaro’s power Star Platinum is extremely powerful, but it’s even stronger as Star Platinum Over Heaven which he manages to level up to after defeating Heaven Ascension Dio.
Being that this only takes place in the game “Eyes of Heaven” which is not viewed as Canon, I did not want to place them both as the most powerful characters for that reason – but I will mention again that Jotaro likely deserves his slot in the top three regardless!
Jotaro Kujo at SHJ:
Number One: Giorno Giovanna
Stand: Gold Experience (& Gold Experience Requiem)
Hero/Villain/Jojo: Hero and Jojo of Golden Wind Part Five
Coming in as the most powerful character in all of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure with his Stand Gold Experience (and Gold Experience Requiem) is Giorno Giovanna!
After that long explanation for Dio and Jotaro to basically tell you that they are more powerful outside of canon due to a game, we finally make it to our strongest character.
Giorno’s Stand Gold Experience is broken down like this by his Wiki Fandom: “Gold Experience is one of the most versatile Stands in the series. It has the ability to create and manipulate life, which Giorno most often uses to produce plants and small animals. Both can be used for a variety of purposes ranging from disguise to tracking origins. As a short-ranged Power-type, it is also capable of unleashing a rapid barrage of punches, which Giorno uses almost exclusively with lethal intent.”
They also go on to tell us how it eventually becomes Gold Experience Requiem, making it powerful enough to give him the top slot: “Gold Experience Requiem is obtained after Giorno pierces Gold Experience with the Stand-creating Arrow. It has the ability to turn the opponent’s willpower and actions to zero. Whoever is killed by Requiem will also “have their death turned to zero,” forcing them into a death loop for all eternity. Gold Experience was also pierced by the Arrow during Entering the Gang, Part 4 when Giorno is attacked by Black Sabbath , but it is unclear whether this is an oversight on the part of Araki, but the stand arrow the pierced gold experience was not a requiem arrow; therefore, Gold Experience could not achieve requiem.”

I think Kars should be number one, then Gappy (Jojolion Josuke), then heaven DIO, heaven Jotaro, then Giorno. Giorno’s requiem doesn’t work against the over heavens, and novel Kars beats everything (I’m assuming novel Kars counts because over heavens are here). Novel Kars was able to copy any stand he could get a good look at, and he was able to tank a universal reset 37 times. I don’t know anything that can beat novel Kars. For DIO, DIO is stronger then Jotaro, just his cockyness got in the way of his victory.
This one was super hard, but for the most part it’s based on a mega compilation of how the characters rank out in power level charts across the board on other lists VS my own.
