NUMBER SIX: HISOKA

Our next Phantom Troupe member, coming in at number six among our strongest Hunter X Hunter hunters, and just missing the top five is Hisoka!

Hisoka is the #4 member of The Phantom Troupes, and his physical strength ranked third among them.

Hisoka is a tactical genius and skilled magician that makes his extreme power level even stronger when paired with his speed, strength and nen.

We are lucky enough to see Hisoka's power level shown off countless times throughout Hunter X Hunter.

NUMBER FIVE: SILVA ZOLDYCK

Starting off our list of the top five strongest hunters in Hunter X Hunter is Silva Zoldyck.

That means we have three generations of Zoldycks making this list if we include Killua, with Zeno coming in a few slots below Silva.

Silva is Killua's father and the son of Zeno.

He is also the current head of the Zoldyck family and a world renowned assassin. According to Killua he can tear the heart out of a person without dropping a single drop of blood.

His Wiki Fandom also states this about his power level: "Silva is extremely resistant to poison and has great strength, speed, and superhuman control over his body. He also defeated and killed an unknown member of the Phantom Troupe three years prior to the start of the main story, and dueled against Chrollo to an unknown result (both of them survived, though, and in the anime, Silva was shown coming back with no visible injury)."

NUMBER FOUR: GING FREECSS

Missing the top three and coming in at number four among our strongest hunters in Hunter X Hunter is Ging Freecss.

It's hard to know if Ging deserves to come in at number four or if he deserves a slot one or two higher due to the fact that we don't really know just how powerful he is.

That said, his power level, from what we do know, is enough to warrant this slot - which says a lot about it.

His Wiki Fandom shares a ton of useful information about what we know: "His abilities are yet to be fully revealed, but as a former member of the Zodiacs, a Double-Star Hunter who can qualify for a Triple-Star License, and having managed to defeat and capture Razor, Ging is bound to be extremely proficient in Nen. Former Chairman Netero supported this theory by calling him one of the five best Nen users in the world, and Hisoka is extremely interested in him."

NUMBER THREE: CHROLLO LUCILFER

The last member of The Phantom Troupes to join our list of the strongest Hunter X Hunter hunters is their leader: Chrollo Lucilfer.

Chrollo Lucilfer is the founder, leader and member #0 among The Phantom Troupes, and although his physical strength comes in at number seven among them, he is by far the most powerful overall.

Two members we've seen on this list, our Zoldyck assassins, have fought Chrollo Lucilfer at the same time and were unable to kill him. His Wiki Fandom breaks down the fight as follows, also starting by saying that he is: "revered as the strongest by most of its members. Machi ranks him cleanly above Hisoka, who has consistently desired a fight against the Troupe's leader far more than any other Spider. However, Chrollo tends to hold back if his opponent possesses an ability that interests him so that he can steal it. He was able to fight against Silva and Zeno Zoldyck simultaneously, both extremely proficient assassins, without leaving any openings for the former to exploit"

NUMBER TWO: GON FREECSS

Just missing the top slot among our strongest hunters in Hunter X Hunter is Gon Freecss!

For this slot we're actually referring to Adult Gon, which is where Gon surpasses the power level of almost every other character, including potentially our number one slot (although an argument could be made there).

Gon levels up over even Mureums power level, surpassing his power through limitless rage after the murder of his friend and mentor, Kite. He evolves into an adult version of himself which quickly destroys Neferpitou in a fit of anger.

NUMBER ONE: ISAAC NETERO

Coming in at the top slot among our most powerful Hunter X Hunter hunters is Isaac Netero!

Isaac Netero was the 12th Chairman of The Hunter Association and the Head of the Exam Commission.

Along with the power that comes from the authority given to him as the Chairman, Isaac Netero's power level is also the strongest among all hunters - especially in his prime. Here's how his Wiki Fandom breaks it down: "In his youth, Netero was revered as the world's most powerful Nen user. Although the survival rate of the official expeditions to the Dark Continent is a mere 0.04%, Netero set foot on it twice and returned alive with no signs of lasting injury both times.[16] Even in his old age, Netero remains extremely powerful, with Morel asserting that if Netero cannot defeat an opponent, then no one in the entire Hunter Association can."
