Jessica Alba has been in the “babe” spotlight for a long time.
And it’s really surprising it’s taken this long to get her on SHJ.
Not only has she two comic characters in multiple movies; Sue Storm in a couple Fantastic 4 movies, and Nancy in Sin City; but she’s also been in movies like Machete, Honey, Into The Blue, Good Luck Chuck, and so much more.
Although I honestly think Awake is one of my all time favorites.
A sleeper, if I do say so myself.
See what I did there?
Jessica Alba Stats:
Height: 5’7
Weight: (approximate) 127 lbs.
Age: 38 years old
Jessica Alba is just above average height among women we’ve seen at SHJ.
Although she does fall into a category of women we’re seeing more and more of.
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.

Jessica Alba Diet and Nutrition
Jessica Alba really loves her morning coffee.
If you follow her on Snapchat you’ll know what I mean.
But more on that later – as you’ll find out she’s a morning person and hops right into her workout after some coffee.
In an interview with Elle she shares a ton of amazing information about her nutritional approach.
In the first section I want to share they state:
When she wants to slim down, Jessica focuses on what she’s putting into her body instead of exercise. As she told Shape, “With exercise, I get a little more toned and I definitely feel stronger, but my diet is much more important if I’m trying to slim down. In that case, I usually don’t eat gluten, dairy, fried foods or processed foods. I try to stick to a diet that’s low in sugar and carbs, and high in lean proteins and vegetables.”
If Jessica has a craving, she’ll satisfy it before it has time to grow into something bigger. “I don’t deprive myself… I have [junk] if I want it,” she’s said. “When I do feel that I am depriving myself, I find that I binge. That’s not a balanced way to go about it.” As for her go-to treats? While she says she’s not a dessert person, “I do really like strawberry shortcake. I mean I really, really like it.”
But, there’s more information from Alba that she shares in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
Here’s some fun facts that we can take away from that article:
- She had a popcorn addiction
- She’s now “careful” with her carbs
- She normally starts her day with a smoothie
- She loves caffeine (just reinforcing my starting statement with other sources)
- Guac is her favorite snack
- She tries to avoid soy
- Holiday’s don’t count!
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Jessica Alba Workout Routine Research
As I told you prior, Jessica Alba is a morning person.
She wakes up and gets her workout in right at the beginning of the day!
If we jump back to her interview with Elle Mag they tell us:
“I take Spin or hot yoga classes in the morning, and I sacrifice sleep to fit them in,” Jessica revealed. What kind of sacrifice are we talking about? She told Self magazine in 2015 she wakes up at 5:15 a.m. for her yoga classes. “I need an alarm and a really strong coffee,” she said.
They also gave me some insight to snoop her Instagram for some more information about her workout.
They state:
A quick glance at her Instagram page shows she’s into YogaSculpt, which is a hot yoga-inspired full body workout. Cornelius Jones Jr. is a YogaSculpt instructor who’s done classes with Jessica, and explained, “She loves YogaSculpt because it gives her the best of both worlds: hardcore physical workout, and the balance and stretch of traditional yoga.” It also helps that the classes have fun, R&B-inspired soundtracks to keep everyone moving.
And, in an interview with Shape Alba explains that she doesn’t workout just for physical reasons.
She states:
“For me, the benefits of exercise are more mental than physical. Working out takes away that little edge so that I feel happier and more productive, and my brain can get kick-started.”
I definitely feel her on that one.
I hit the gym for head space, a place to read, and other productivity reasons.
And one last thing from Elle is this:
“They hold me accountable!” she told People. In another interview with Byrdie, she said, “I really like taking group classes, or I like to work out with friends. I like high-intensity workouts; I like moving around a lot.”
They pulled from other sources and finished up by telling us just how much Alba likes to workout with her friends.
That’s why I think the community in our Academy is just so vital to the success of our members.

Jessica Alba Workout
Training Volume:
5-6 days a week
Explanation:
Normally we’d program 3-5 days for a routine like this one, but we’re actually going to be doing something a bit different being that almost all sources and signs point to Alba mainly (and almost solely) using classes like YogaSculpt, typical yoga, Spin, Pilates, and other high intensity group classes to get her killer physique.
For that reason I’m going to give you 5-6 days a week, assuming you’ll be mixing it up a bit. I’m also going to program one day that you can do in 30-45 minutes at home if you’re not going to be hitting the classes that Alba does.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & tradition pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
Jessica Alba Workout: Daily Classes
Jessica Alba loves hitting classes like YogaSculpt, typical yoga classes, Spin, Pilates, and other high intensity group classes; either solo or with her friends.
For that reason you’re going to be attempting to do the same for the majority of the week.
Get out there and use your fitness.
Alba is up and on the go at 5:15 in the morning and ready to hit some yoga.
This can be replaces by hiking or other intense forms of activity if needed; or in some cases the following full body workout.
Jessica Alba Workout: Home Training Alternative
I’m building you this routine if your main objective is to look like Alba, and while focusing in on your diet you are not able to get to a class one day that you’d like to train. Of course, you can simply go for a hike, or a run, or some other form of caloric burning activity; but this will also help build some muscle and cut some cals!
One Round for Time:
70 cals on treadmill or rower (or 60 double unders)
60 second plank hold
50 KB Deadlift (sub bodyweight row)
40 Lunges (each leg)
30 Plank to Push Ups
20 Jump Squats
10 Burpees
