Kate Hudson is a mega babe.
I couldn’t even believe she was 40 when I was writing this article
Kate Hudson has starred in amazing roles like Almost Famous, Raising Helen, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Bride Wars, Something Borrowed, Deepwater Horizon, Fool’s Gold, and so much more.
She also co-founded the company Fabletics in 2013 which is an activewear brand that she struts with her amazing physique like it’s nobodies business!
Don’t worry, you’ll be seeing plenty of pictures of her in Fabletics throughout the course of this article!
Kate Hudson Stats:
Height: 5’6
Weight: (approximate) 120 lbs
Age: 40 years old
Kate Hudson hits the average height among female celebs.
Which kind of throws a wrench in our short-women-streak we had going (and would have continued into with next week’s babe).
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.
I write these routines for anyone and everyone.

Kate Hudson Diet and Nutrition
Kate Hudson look amazing, but it’s not just because of her clothing brand.
She owes a lot of it to her nutrition and activity level (fitness).
In an interview with Self she actually told them that she’s not much of a breakfast person.
Which is fine with us considering we’re pretty big into intermittent fasting around here anyways.
She stated:
“I’m not one of those people who wakes up hungry, I realize that when I do [have breakfast], I eat less during the day or late at night.”
Apparently most morning she’ll simply opt for coffee and some green juice.
Delish.com also shares a quote from an interview Hudson had with People Mag and tell us a bit about it here:
Hudson’s into a high-alkaline diet, which means she tries to avoid super-acidic foods and that 60% to 80% percent of her calories come from tofu, nuts, fruits and vegetables.
“Our bodies are one large chemistry experiment,” she told People. This diet means she avoids meat, dairy and gluten for the most part, and limits her sugar intake.
And Delish doesn’t stop there. They also tell us a bit about her post workout meals and how she chooses to have cheat meals:
After her post-workout protein shake, Hudson typically has a salad for lunch and a late-afternoon snack before dinner. She says in the March 2016 issue of Self, preferring plant-based dishes. “I don’t remember the last time I had a steak,” Hudson admits.
That doesn’t mean she sticks to that diet all of the time, though. “If I want to go out and eat at a restaurant with amazing food, I’ll do that, like, once a week where I’m not thinking about it,” she says. “I want to indulge! I want to do things that are not healthy sometimes.”
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Kate Hudson Workout Routine Research
Kate Hudson loves pilates and running.
But she also absolutely loves switching it up and being active in other ways.
Just scrolling through her Instagram and pictures on the web of her working out I was able to find all sorts of activities such as:
- Pilates
- Running
- Hiking Outdoors
- Dancing
- Cycling
- Bootcamps (like “Barry’s Bootcamp”)
- Dancing (and classes)
- Cycling
- Yoga
Hudson tells Self that “change is her constant”. She talks all about switching it up in a quote here:
“I change my routine. I change my look. I change my mind,” says Hudson. And when it comes to exercise, she says, “I really switch it up.” Her only fitness regimen, it turns out, is not having one. “I’ll do Tracy Anderson, I’ll do Body by Simone, I do everything,” Hudson says. Her other love is exercising outdoors. While outside, she says, “your body is constantly adapting as it moves.” Still, when she really wants to whip herself into shape, she focuses on pilates. “Nothing, literally nothing, makes me feel like I’m back to my body more than pilates,” she says. “I’ll travel, and I’ll go for a run or I’ll Spin. But when I go home and get on the reformer or the Cadillac, my body immediately goes back. I can see an instant shift.” She typically works out in the mornings after her kids are dropped off at school. When she’s filming on location or stuck in a hotel room, “That’s when it gets really hard,” she admits. But she’ll still make time to fit in a mini-workout on the fly.
And lucky for us we’ve seen both Body by Simone and Tracy Anderson from other celebs on the site before.
And Shape Mag actually shares four movements that Hudson uses for her Pilates workouts!
So for this one we’ll be pairing the need for activity with some workouts we’ve had from Tracy Anderson, Body by Simone, and now our Shape Mag workout as well.
We’ll do our best to have a variety somewhere close to that of Hudson!

Kate Hudson Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5+ days per week
Explanation:
As I said above I’m going to be sharing a number of workouts that we’ve seen in the past from Hudson’s trainers that she works with, as well as the number of activities that Hudson loves to utilize to stay in shape. Her workout is diverse and ever-changing so it’s important to not become complacent and realize that just because I’m sharing a few days of training from her trainer (and I’ll also be sharing Shape’s take on Hudson’s Pilates movements), that doesn’t mean you can neglect the TONS of other activities that Hudson does.
Explanation Part Two:
Although this routine is going to seem intense and awesome, it’s much more awesome if you actually take part in the other activities that I’ll be listing for Hudson’s training. Get outside, get in classes, switch it up, and have fun!
