Let’s keep this Dragon Ball Z week going.
I really should have just called it a Broly week.
We’ve already seen Goku, Vegeta, Kale, and Caulifla, and this week I decided to theme the character workouts around some more DBZ characters due to the hype behind the Broly movie that’s coming in January.
The trailer looks amazing!
While Videl might not nearly compare to the strength of Broly, she is, in my opinion, going to be a lot of fun to create a workout routine for.
I’ll explain exactly why when I begin her workout routine research below.
Videl Stats:
Height: 5’1-5’2 (depending on source)
Weight: 103 lbs
Powers: No (Human)
Real Name: Videl Satan
Videl is quite short compared to other female characters we’ve seen.
Which I guess fits the bill, seeing as how Goku and Vegeta were really short too!
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8!
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero!

Videl Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like The Hulk may get something specifically different**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Hugh Jackman and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting daily, and I also use it myself in conjunction with cyclical ketosis.
That being said, I also recommend tracking and paying attention to protein intake.
BUT, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Oh, and if you’re down with calorie counting instead, that’s always an option as well. It’s just important to be aware of specific rules and precision while counting.

Videl Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
This is where I get to break down the “how” and “why” of the workout we’re going to build based on the characters, in this case Videl’s, powers and/or abilities.
In Videl’s Wiki page we learn about her human powers and abilites:
Unlike other fighters, who have a balanced mix of physical and energy-based techniques, Videl uses only pure physical attacks. According to Gohan, she had already surpassed her father even before she began learning to use ki. Though she is capable of using basic Ki Blasts after Gohan trained her, she has little control over them. Her fighting style is to wait for her opponent to attack, and then use their own strength against them in a dodge or counter, playing on their momentum.
Despite being powerful by humans standards, and possessing some degree of enhanced strength relative to normal people, like her father, Videl has not trained to the degree of the Z Warriors, and is not even near Krillin, Yamcha or Master Roshi’s level (all three of which are entirely human). As proof of this, Videl cannot tolerate high-speed flight, and a single bullet is capable of inflicting heavy damage, if not lethal, depending on the area shot.
Well, I suppose it’s good to know she’s not at the level of Krillin, Yamcha and Master Roshi, considering they’re such big factors in a lot of the fights (especially Dragon Ball Z).
But, the doesn’t mean she’s not powerful, especially for a human being compared to another average human, like her father for example.
There are actually moments when Videl fights Broly and is able to put up a fight, and she even becomes The Great Saiyawoman alongside Gohan!
Videl is also able to form a ki blast, and even has her hair turn gold during the Super Saiyan God ritual in Dragon Ball Super.
So, we’re not messing with just some average chick here.
Videl is a badass.
