We started with a protein shake recipe listicle which led to a salad listicle, which only means it only makes sense to work our way right to the desserts, am I right?
As I mentioned in our last listicle: our SHJ Nutrition System revolves our diet around calories and protein intake.
This then allows us to have what we like to consider “free calories” that are used for our indulgences and DAILY cheat meals.
What makes creating those cheat meals even easier on a daily basis is when we have go-to snacks and indulgences that are low calories and high protein, pushing us closer to our daily protein goal while only utilizing a bit of our overall caloric intake, and therefore leaving more free calories for other meals.
That’s what we’ll be seeing here.
They may seem like and taste like cheat meals, but in reality they’re just super tasty snacks that can easily become “go-to” meals on a daily basis.
Assuming you don’t over indulge, of course.
We’ve had a few listicles in a row being that our Healthy Recipe Database continues to grow on a weekly basis and you guys requested a few, but we’ll likely cut it down to 1-2 a week in the future to make room for more workout listicles (especially being that our Workout Database is about 1,000X bigger than our Healthy Recipe and Celeb Diet Plan Database).
BUT, we finally made it to the part you came here for…
FIVE SIMPLE LOW CALORIE SALAD RECIPES
PROTEIN PEANUT BUTTER CUP
This is our most recent recipe, and it’s simple but delicious!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 scoop of whey vanilla flavor (Favorite Protein Powders)
1 ½ cups dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp. coconut oil

SNICKERDOODLE PROTEIN MUFFINS
For this one we generally suggest PEScience Protein Powder, so keep that in mind when going into it (they specifically have snickerdoodle flavor).
Ingredients:
1/4 c (30g) all purpose flour
2 scoops (62g) PEScience Snickerdoodle Protein Powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 c (48g) Swerve Brown Sugar Replacement
1 large egg
1/3 c (74g) light butter
1/4 c (60g) unsweetened apple sauce
1 tsp vanilla extract

PROTEIN BLUEBERRY CAKE DONUT
Donuts anyone?
Ingredients:
Blueberry Cake Donut:
3/4 cup (84g) almond flour
2 scoops (62g) PEScience Gourmet Vanilla protein powder
2 Tbsp granulated sugar substitute
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1 cup (227g) vanilla fat free Greek yogurt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup (120g) fresh blueberries (if frozen, start by microwaving for 30-60 seconds)
Donut Glaze:
1/4-1/2 cup (36-72g) Powdered Sugar Substitute
1-2 tbsp water

CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN COOKIES
Slightly basic food, but not so basic ingredients!
Ingredients:
2 scoops (62g) PEScience Gourmet Vanilla Select Protein powder
1/2 cup (60g) all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup (48g) Swerve granular sugar replacement
1/4 cup (48g) Swerve Brown sugar replacement
1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
1/4 cup (48g) chocolate chunks
1/4 tsp kosher salt

OREO CHEESECAKE BITES
This one is keto friendly, but it’s actually not super low in calories, so beware of the high fat!
Ingredients:
OREO CRUST
1 cup Almond Flour
4 tbsp Cocoa Powder
2 tbsp Butter (melted, or use melted coconut oil)
1 tsp Super Finely Ground Coffee
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tbsp Powdered Erythritol
1/4 tsp Salt
CHEESECAKE FILLING
12 ounces Cream Cheese
6 tbsp Butter (3/4 of a stick)
1/4 cup Coconut Oil (melted)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/3 cup Powdered Erythritol
