It’s always the gorgeous models who end up being assassins.
I mean look at Scarlett Johansson. Who would expect her?
Ironically enough, not only has Johansson starred as Black Widow, but she also starred in Lucy under Luc Besson the director of Anna – which Luss will be starring in virtually every scene of as our assassin.
Vulture says this about the role:
It’s the kind of star-making performance that should be familiar to Besson completists. He’s long introduced audiences to unknown actresses: future Resident Evil franchise face Milla Jovovich in The Fifth Element (1997), 13-year-old Natalie Portman in The Professional, and French superstar Anne Parillaud in 1990’s La Femme Nikita. British supermodel Cara Delevingne had only appeared in Suicide Squad before she headlined Besson’s Valerian. (Scarlett Johansson, who plays a telepathic, telekinetic mental time traveler impervious to pain in Besson’s $463 million–grossing sci-fi thriller Lucy, was already quite famous by the time Besson cast her.
But, I’m damn excited to see Luss go to work.
The trailers I’ve seen thus far look incredible.
Sasha Luss Stats:
Height: 5’10
Weight: (approximate) 117 lbs.
Age: 27 years old
Sasha Luss is actually one of the tallest women we’ve seen at SHJ.
There are a couple taller, of course, but 5’10 is definitely in that higher range.
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.
I write these routines for anyone and everyone.

Sasha Luss Diet and Nutrition
Right off the bat we are going to acknowledge the fact that Sasha Luss has an absolutely stunning physique.
That being said, it’s also important to note that she has a physique that is one of a model, which tends to be more slim than toned and muscular.
In an Instagram post Luss shared of her drinking a green smoothie/juice she captions it with a Dolly Parton quote:
I tried every diet in the book. I tried some that weren’t in the book. I tried eating the book. It tasted better than most of the diets.
And that’s not the first time Luss had shared herself drinking green juice.
In an interview with Vogue they share some information from Luss, who explains what it’s like for a model during Fashion Week, while including a picture of Luss sipping on one of the “green juices” as well:
Staying grounded during Fashion Week goes beyond the physical, as the golden-haired model explains it: “You need to be super relaxed, super calm, and just take it as it is.” She unwinds with “absolutely not cool” music from her native Russia, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers albums; to sync up mind and body, she practices Yogilates at home and follows a series of videos by a Russian instructor. “And I drink a lot of water and green juice,” she says, giving a shout-out to the juice cart near her Wall Street apartment. “This guy knows how I like it: a lot of ginger, a lot of lemon. He’s doing his job with love.”
Did you get that? Green juice with a lot of ginger and a lot of lemon!
We don’t want to get carried away and say that Luss is super-strict with this approach, though. It’s not ALL green juice and water.
In another shot from Luss’ Instagram we see the stunning model snacking away, after what appears to be a long day finally broken by the trip back to her hotel, at some french fry room service!
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.
Sasha Luss Workout Routine Research
Just because I mentioned that her physique doesn’t specifically have as much muscle as some women might, that does not mean that Luss does not have curves and toning that make her body just as appealing.
In the above quote from Vogue we saw that Luss told them she:
practices Yogilates at home and follows a series of videos by a Russian instructor.
So a nice mix of yoga and Pilates. We can work with that.
I was also able to find a quote from Complex.com in which they interviewed a large handful of models, asking them how they get their amazing physiques.
Luss, specifically, stated:
“I always do Pilates, and I love it. It’s very good for your body, and it doesn’t give you too much muscle. It just gives you a strong, beautiful body.”
So we definitely have confirmation on the Pilates!
I also found that Luss went through some pretty awesome training to perfect her choreography that takes place in her new film Anna.
This involved intense self defense training to make all the assassin-like mixed martial arts look as real as it gets.
More specifically, The Los Angeles Times tells us, after getting information in an interview with Luss:
Luss began intensive, six-hour-a-day fight training to prepare for the film
We’re not going to make you train six-hours-a-day.
I will however be including some workouts that are programmed by our fight-coach inside The Academy, Coach Derek.

Sasha Luss Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-6 days per week
Explanation:
On a normal basis Sasha Luss does Yogilates at home, watching a Russian instructor, but she also mentions doing a lot of Pilates as well, which makes us assume this includes classes on-the-go in different cities, or some other instruction videos as well. On top of that she trained 6-hour-days for Anna to get in fight ready condition – so I will also be including some mixed martial arts programs we have here on the site. If you’d like to step your game up and add these programs in on top of 3+ days of Yogilates or Pilates work, all the more power to you!
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & tradition pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
Sasha Luss Workout: Yogilates and Pilates
We do have some yoga videos and instruction inside our Academy (inside our Jedi Path), but I think yoga, Yogilates, and Pilates are all best performed via instructional video – assuming you’re not going into a local class.
That being said, I put together some videos you can utilize to keep up with Sasha Luss’ routine:
Yogilates: https://youtu.be/epxu0eFPjRM
Pilates: https://youtu.be/D3TC-tz3TeQ
Yoga: https://youtu.be/MeW0whxTl4g
And I did my best to pick my favorite instructors from each category so you can continue going through their selection if you’d like to follow more videos.
