It felt like I should be doing Buzz Lightyear and Jessie and then Woody and Bo Peep, but I actually opted for the opposite for our Toy Story weeks.
Plus our Disney Inspired Workouts have been so much fun, but also all over the place in how we decide to create the routine itself, so I was actually hesitant to even make any routines for Toy Story.
Although after Buzz, I’m happy with my decision.
But now it’s time for our favorite shepherdess, Bo Peep.
For the start of these articles I would like to say this: I linked to the guidelines above, but in no way is this workout and diet plan that of Bo Peep’s. This is simply a plan inspired by his character and I will be citing all the information I can in order to show where the inspiration is coming from.
Bo Peep Possible Stats:
**We’ll be using height ranges that Disney looks for when getting actors for these roles.**
Height Range: 5’3-5’7
Movie: Toy Story
Bo Peep is right there in an average range among women we’ve seen.
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
But, either way, don’t worry.
I write these routines for anyone and everyone.

Bo Peep Inspired Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each character, but I will add in something special for the Disney Inspired Characters if possible**
Every hero (or villain) needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
THE BO PEEP SECTION:
Just like we did with the other Disney Inspired diets, we’ll be finding a specific piece of the character to build around.
Sometimes we use the characters home country, and other times, like Buzz, we’ll use what specifically defines them.
In this case we know Bo Peep is a shepherdess, and we will be using The Shepherd’s Diet!
Here’s a list of the foods that you can eat:
- Edible seeds
- Whole grains
- Almost all kinds of vegetables
- Some sort of meat such as beef and fish provided they are seared or grilled.
- Wild game animals as they contain healthier fats/lower fats than farm grown animals. Examples of wild game animals are elk, bison, chicken, rabbit, and turkey.
- Creepy crawlers are allowed to eat too including crickets, locusts, and grasshoppers
I was going to cut out the last one, but I wanted to be as real with you all as possible.
And then we built The SHJ Legacy Program to help you achieve it!
Bo Peep Inspired Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
This is the part when I get to tell you about the “how” and “why” of the workout we’re about to build.
So let’s start by grabbing some information from Bo Peep’s Wiki Fandom page.
Bo Peep doesn’t specifically have any powers and abilities like our other characters, but there are still some things we can use for this one.
First of all let’s give her a quick bio to go off from the Wiki Fandom page I mentioned:
Bo Peep is a supporting character in the Disney/Pixar Toy Story series. She is a porcelain shepherdess figurine and Sheriff Woody’s girlfriend in the films. Bo Peep and her sheep were originally adornments of Molly’s bedside lamp.
They also tell us that her inspiration comes from Little Bo Peep, which we can find a background bio listed as:
Little Bo Peep is the nursery rhyme shepherdess who “lost her sheep and didn’t know where to find them.” She appeared in two of Disney’s Silly Symphony shorts, Mother Goose Melodies and Old King Cole, and was impersonated by the Big Bad Wolf in Three Little Wolves and Katherine Hepburn in Mother Goose Goes Hollywood.
The key here is that we’re working around a shepherdess.
And for those of you who don’t know, a shepherd is:
A shepherd or sheepherder is a person who tends, herds, feeds, or guards herds of sheep.
So for this reason we’re going to go old school and train as if we don’t have equipment.
But, we’ll also still be utilizing a routine that will allow us to get into cosplay shape for Bo Peep, so don’t worry!
Just get ready.
