We’re back for another Kengan Ashura Inspired Workout – this time back for another behemoth.
Last week we had Kanoh Agito and this week we’re getting even bigger.
Julius Reinhold was actually one of the first requested Kengan Ashura characters ever (behind Tokita Ohma, of course), with only Cosmo coming in ahead of him.
I always enjoy bringing in some of these massive characters because it allows us to venture off into a different style of training that is almost entirely focused around building muscle mass.
So if you’ve somehow landed on the wrong routine for you, by now you should know.
If not, buckle up, because we’re going to be lifting heavy.
Julius Reinhold Stats:
Real Name: Julius Reinhold
Height: 6’9
Weight: 463 lbs.
Anime: Kengan Ashura
Powers: Yes
Julius Reinhold is an absolute monster.
He’s not the tallest we’ve seen, but at 463 pounds he is up there with the largest of overall muscle mass to height range.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Julius Reinhold Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Julius Reinhold Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Julius Reinhold we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with this:
Julius Reinhold, also known as The Monster, is an affiliated fighter in the Kengan matches. He represented Toyo Electric Power Co. during the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. He became Iwami Heavy Industries’s affiliated fighter during the Kengan Association VS Purgatory Tournament.
From there we already know we’ll be training to build muscle mass, but we still need to break down The Monster’s abilities, which are lengthy.
They start off with this:
Julius has extremely developed muscles derived in part from special doping, having taken enough steroids to kill an average man. His immense muscular structure grants him colossal physical strength, durability and destructive power, as shown when remained unmoved and even pulled against an F1 race car that was trying to yank him away as well as easily snapping the specially ordered chains wrapped around his body. Julius is also deceptively fast, being able to sprint as fast a first-rate sprinter despite his size and weight exceeding 200kg. Defensively, his guards can be compared to iron armour, which can even shatter rock, and he was able to shrug off the full-powered punches of Wakatsuki Takeshi, who’s strength is comparable to Julius’ thanks to his condition. When he fought against Sawada Keizaburo, not only was he able to stop the man’s full-powered kick with only his trapezius muscle, but he also broke Sawada’s leg by merely clenching his hand and knocked him out by simply throwing him against the wall, with the force of the hit even shaking the building he was in as a result. When his and Wakatsuki’s fists clashed, it shook the entire Kengan Dome from the emitted shockwave. He is one of two fighters who Kanoh Agito said “outclasses” Wakatsuki (the other being Kure Raian).
Well, we’re going to skip the steroids portion of this, but dive right into his training nevertheless.
They move on in his abilities to tell us this:
Despite almost exclusively using brute force while fighting, Julius is quite intelligent. To use his muscles at their full capacity, Julius studied sports physiology, sports medicine, psychology and even physics. His combination of biological knowledge and physical strength makes him an extremely dangerous combatant.
Two years after the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, Julius’ training allowed him to find a new ability to use his strength. He himself claimed that his newfound strength might even overcome the likes of Kuroki Gensai, the winner of the Annihilation Tournament. Rolón Donaire of Purgatory recognized Julius as powerful enough to beat both Agito and Wakatsuki.
And the last portion of his abilities section is his obscene muscle control:
The culmination of his pursuit of true strength, Gott-Töter Steinbohrer is effectively a level of muscle control obtained by Julius, who sacrificed everything for the sake of strength. Julius’ muscle control is so fine that each fiber seems independent to each other. He can spin his forearm by flexing his muscles to their limits and release them all at once. Though the principles of Gott-Töter Steinbohrer are similar to Wakatsuki’s Blast Core, Julius uses it to deflect attacks with the rotational energy alone.
We knew what we were doing before we even got to this, but it was a nice run-through regardless to know Reinhold’s background.
As I mentioned before: be ready to lift heavy, and get big!
