We have now been growing our Overwatch Inspired Workouts and our overall Video Game Workout Database, but we haven’t had a single healer from OW yet.
Which is why I made it my mission to bring one in today!
Baptiste will be joining his pal Mauga in our databases, and coming in lifting the weights as well.
(Sorry, bodyweight members of The SHJ Army, you’ll have to head into the Calisthenics Workouts and find another workout to crush).
For his one we’re going to be putting a big focus into Baptiste’s jacked physique, so be ready to train hard!
Baptiste Stats:
Real Name: Baptiste
Height: 6’2
Weight: N/A
Video Game: Overwatch
Powers: No
Baptiste is actually quite tall, but still misses being considered a behemoth if we compare him to those in our Anime Workouts Database, by about 4 inches or so.
That said, he is still slightly above average.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Baptiste Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Baptiste Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Baptiste I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, though his bio section starts off quite short, so I’ll be including his overview as well:
Baptiste is a Support hero in Overwatch. Released on 19 March 2019, he is the 30th hero added to the game.
Baptiste wields an assortment of experimental devices and weaponry to keep allies alive and eliminate threats under fierce conditions. A battle-hardened combat medic, he is just as capable of saving lives as he is taking out the enemy.
Baptiste’s abilities obvious don’t tell us much about what we need to work on considering they’re all game-related, so I’m skipping ahead into his full bio section to learn more.
I’m also including some fun information about his diet, which we don’t always get to include here:
An elite combat medic and ex-Talon operative, Baptiste now uses his skills to help those whose lives have been impacted by war. He possesses an innate desire to help people. Baptiste wields an assortment of experimental devices and weaponry to keep allies alive and eliminate threats under fierce conditions. A battle-hardened combat medic, he is just as capable of saving lives as he is of taking out the enemy. He heals where he can, and fights when he must. He knows that he cannot undo his past, but making a difference is now what matters.
In correspondence obtained by Trung Le Nguyen, Cuerva noted that Baptiste is a skilled marksman despite being a medic, and boasted unusually high endurance, versatility, and even luck.
Baptiste loves to eat— it has been suggested that his favorite dish is pork griot and lalo. Not many people know that he has a sweet tooth, and he loves to kick back with a tall drink with a lot of ice. He is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, and English. His equipment is a collection of armor and weaponry acquired over the years. Some are from the black market, and some are modified from his Caribbean Coalition and Talon gear; Baptiste has always been resourceful.
Now we’re talkin’!
This gives us a clear specificity to what we’re working with.
That means the goals of our Baptiste Inspired Workout are:
- Baptiste’s Muscular and Toned Aesthetic
- Baptiste’s Unusually High Endurance
- Baptiste’s Strength and Military Training
This one is actually going to be pretty intense considering I’m using military style training – but I give a ton of different options for scaling it down and making it super versatile so you can jump right in.
That said, if it seems a bit daunting you can also starting with one of our Beginner Workouts, with the Beginner Behemoth Workout being the best option.

Baptiste Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-6 Days Per Week
Explanation:
We’ll be focusing 3 days a week on getting strong (with small traces of cardio in there as well), 2 days a week to speed and endurance, and a final day to the typical hike (which will get longer each week) that you’d do within military training (throw on some heavy gear to make it more real)!
Scaling Advice:
6 days a week is a lot of training, so I would suggest sticking to either the calisthenics days and cardio, or the weight training and tacking on the cardio occasionally so you’re looking at a 3-4 day split instead of a 6.
Military Training Style:
Initial Marine Physical Fitness Testing is done by testing Pull-Ups or Push Ups, Sit Ups, and a 3 Mile Run.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & tradition pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
