The Most Powerful Female My Hero Academia Characters are made up of a variety of U.A. High School Students, Pro Heroes, and villains!
I’ve been doing my best to make it a priority to hit some lists specifically focusing on strong female characters, so this one was a request I was eager to get to.
After we saw The Most Powerful Anime Characters of All Time you guys specifically asked for The Most Powerful Female Characters of All Time which was a ton of fun.
Now we’re expanding on our My Hero Academia Universe here at SHJ and we have some pretty strong females throughout the series!
We have a large majority of the characters inspired workout routines linked for you, but some will say “Coming Soon” until we get a few of these powerful ladies into our Anime Workouts Database where they belong.
Actually, our My Hero Academia Inspired Workout Database is pretty big on it’s own at this point, and we even have our MHA Workout Placement Quiz for you guys.
Oh, and if you’re new here you should know we love anime, superheroes and even researching the world’s elite – but we’re also hyper focused on unleashing our inner superhuman and transforming our lives with a Workout Database of over 1,000 celeb researched and superhero, anime and character inspired workout routines to choose from.
But we also love our listicles because they’re a great way to find specific character routines that may be hiding in the databases…plus they’re just fun!
If you like listicles like this one, here are a few more I think you might like:
- Most Powerful My Hero Academia Characters of All Time
- Most Powerful My Hero Academia Students
- Most Popular My Hero Academia Characters of All Time
- Top Ranked Pro My Hero Academia Heroes
Of course we’ve also done a handful of “Most Powerful” and “Most Popular” for other anime so if you’d like to check those out you can visit our other listicles here.
To put this one together I consulted with our Academy members and The SHJ Army and then I also went and compiled nearly half a dozen lists as well as overall power levels and rankings listed on the My Hero Academia Wiki Fandom pages. From there I took a decent average of the characters placement and also took into account the date in which the lists were published and updated.
As always, leave your comments below if you were expecting other characters!
MOST POWERFUL FEMALE MY HERO ACADEMIA CHARACTERS
Number Fifteen: Kyoka Jiro
Quirk: Earphone Jack
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-A Student)
Starting off our list of the most powerful female My Hero Academia characters is Kyoka Jiro!
Kyoka Jiro’s Quirk: Earphone Jack is severely underrated and she has a ton of potential to continue to increase her power level.
Her Wiki Fandom describes her Earphone Jack Quirk as such: “she has a pair of headphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. When the jacks are plugged into something, Kyoka can channel the sound of her heartbeat through them in the form of a violent vibration attack. She can stretch her earlobes several meters. This Quirk also allows her to hear minuscule sounds and vibrations from her surroundings.”
They also make mention to the fact that she already has amazing control over it, while some other students are still working hard to gain control anywhere near where she is.
Kyoka Jiro at SHJ:
Number Fourteen: Mina Ashido
Quirk: Ibura
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-A Student)
Moving into number fourteen among the most powerful female My Hero Academia characters is another Class 1-A Student: Mina Ashido!
I should make mention to the fact that we’re actually going to see quite a few students on this list and I actually expanded the list to fifteen purposely to be able to get some of your favorite female characters in here like Ashido. So if you’re curious why we’re working with fifteen and why we have so many students popping up: it’s so we can share the focus with our main characters and the favorites among The SHJ Army.
That being said, Mina Ashido’s Quirk: Acid lets her create corrosive liquid from her body. She can even use the acid as a shield (or veil) and under her feet to move around my efficiently – making her Quirk extremely dynamic and opening up the door to endless possibilities as she continues to get stronger with her training.
Mina Ashido at SHJ:
Number Thirteen: Ochako Uraraka
Quirk: Zero Gravity
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-A Student)
Coming in at number thirteen among the strongest female MHA characters is a student that could arguably be placed much higher on this list: Ochako Uraraka.
Her Quirk: Zero Gravity allows her to essentially make anything float. Right now she has a ton of training to do being that she can hit a limit (weight) that makes her dizzy (roughly 3 tons, which is easy to hit when you’re dealing with villains out in cities and such), or even when she makes herself float – which can also be extremely useful.
That being said, she is already extremely powerful with her current limits, so her power level also seems like it will be quite endless with her training.
Ochako Uraraka at SHJ:

Number Twelve: Tsuya Asui
Quirk: Frog
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-A Student)
Coming in at number twelve and not quite making the top ten most powerful female My Hero Academia characters is Asui.
I wasn’t kidding when I said we were going to be seeing a lot of students on the extended portion of this list (the eleven to fifteen section).
A lot of lists listed Asui as less powerful than a few of the other female students we just saw, but there were one or two that recognized the full power of Asui’s Quirk: Frog. From what we’ve seen from Asui thus far, her power is extremely controlled and is only getting stronger. She is able to make in impact in a wide variety of ways, and is essentially a ninja with her speed, agility, maneuvering and camouflage.
Ibara Shiozaki at SHJ:
Coming Soon
Number Eleven: Ibara Shiozaki
Quirk: Vines
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-B Student)
Moving away from Class 1-A and onto Class 1-B, Ibara Shiozaki comes in at number eleven among our most popular female My Hero Academia characters.
Ibara Shiozaki’s Quirk: Vines makes her extremely powerful. We have seen her show off her powers in the U.A. Entrance Exam Arc and continue to see her do so in the current seasons of 1-A VS. 1-B challenges.
While she does have some training to do to make her as powerful as someone like Shinji Nishiya, the Number Seven Ranked Pro Hero with his Arbor Quirk – Shiozaki will almost certainly get there eventually.
Ibara Shiozaki at SHJ:
Coming Soon
Number Ten: Miss Midnight
Quirk: Somnambulist
Hero or Villain: Hero (Pro Hero)
Starting off our top ten most powerful female My Hero Academia characters is our first Pro Hero: Miss Midnight!
Miss Midnight is a Pro Hero and faculty member at U.A. High School and her Quirk: Somnambulist allows her to put nearby people to sleep by releasing a sleep-inducing aroma from her body. Her Wiki Fandom also mentions that her Quirk works better on males than females!
While Miss Midnight isn’t ranked as high as some of the other female characters we’ll see on this list, she is still a pro, and she also knows how to use her Quirk in a versatile way to go with her overall training to go pro.

Number Nine: Momo
Quirk: Creation
Hero or Villain: Hero (Class 1-A Student)
Coming in at number nine we are hopping back over to another Class 1-A Student which will be the last on our list of the strongest female My Hero Academia characters: Momo!
Momo is not only extremely intelligent and working on leading herself into a leadership and captain type role as she becomes a hero, her Quirk: Creation is also one of the most variable Quirks we’ve seen and allows her to LITERALLY make endless possibilities with her quick thinking. The more she trains to fuel her Quirk and the more she works on learning how to stop others Quirks – the quicker she’ll be a Pro Hero and giving some of these other ladies a run for their money in the ranked positions they hold!
Momo at SHJ:
Number Eight: Mt. Lady
Quirk: Gigantification
Hero or Villain: Hero (Rank 23 Pro)
Coming in at number eight among the most powerful MHA female characters is our first female Pro Hero that is ranked within our top twenty five heroes: Mt. Lady!
Right in our first introduction to My Hero Academia we’re shown Mt. Lady’s Quirk: Gigantification on display as she stops villains by becoming…well…gigantic! With this her overall size is not the only thing that grows – her strength and obviously speed also become a factor to consider as she can cover group quicker than the smaller villains she has no problem dealing with.
Mt. Lady at SHJ:
Number Seven: Himiko Toga
Quirk: Transform
Hero or Villain: Villain
Coming in at number seven and missing out on our top five strongest female My Hero Academia characters is the fan favorite: Toga!
It’s hard to not love Toga as she is every anime weebs perfect Waifu, but also extremely powerful with her Quirk: Transform that essentially makes her the Mystique of My Hero Academia.
Toga’s Quirk is a bit different in the sense that she has to drink the blood of the character who she is transforming into, which is one of the reasons she didn’t make the top five, but her training with The League of Villains proves to make that less of a factor than you would immediately think. Toga’s handy work with daggers and overall combat abilities make it so she doesn’t have much of a hard time getting her hands on blood when needed.
It also helps that she has her blood sucking machine attached to her at all times that allows her to throw the needles and pull blood from the attached tubes…
Toga at SHJ:
Number Six: Eri
Quirk: Rewind
Hero or Villain: Hero
Number six on our list of the most powerful female MHA characters is a character that MAY deserve a higher spot, but will take some more control and spotlight to earn.
Eri’s Quirk: Rewind is EXTREMELY powerful, but there are limitations and much that is very unknown about what her power can actually do and how she’ll be able to actually utilize it.
Her Wiki Fandom explains it partially as such: “Eri’s Quirk allows her to reverse a living individual’s body back to a previous state, allowing her to make her target physically younger, heal injuries, and undo bodily modifications. She has even shown the ability to rewind someone’s body to a point before they existed.”
Eri at SHJ:

Number Five: Nejire Hado
Quirk: Wave Motion
Hero or Villain: Hero (Big 3 at U.A. High School)
Coming in among our top five most powerful female My Hero Academia characters is Nejire Hado!
Hado is among the Big 3 at U.A. High School along with Mirio Togata and Tamaki Amajiki – all from Class 3-A.
While Nejire’s Quirk: Wave Motion has her used to being within the top three most powerful, she comes in at number five for this one, but technically is listed as the most powerful female My Hero Academia student.
Nejire’s Quirk allows her to convert her own vitality into energy and release it in the form of powerful spiral shockwaves that she uses as offensive attacks and even granting her the ability to fly.

Number Four: Ryukyu
Quirk: Dragon
Hero or Villain: Hero (Rank 10 Pro)
Moving into our fourth most powerful My Hero Academia female we have our Rank 10 Pro Hero: Ryukyu.
Ryukyu is our dragon hero as hero Quirk: Dragon allows her to literally transform into a huge dragon, which in turn gives her superhuman strength and durability as well as powerful claws and dragon jaws and wings.
Ryukyu was originally the Rank 9 Pro Hero after All Might’s retirement but is now listed as the tenth so while she is extremely powerful we’ll need to keep an eye on which direction her power level is trending in relation to our other female heroes!
Ryukyu at SHJ:
Number Three: Mirko
Quirk: Rabbit
Hero or Villain: Hero (Rank 5 Pro)
Coming in among the top three most powerful female characters in My Hero Academia we have our Rabbit Hero: Mirko.
Mirko is also a fan favorite among The SHJ Army and her routine was requested countless times due to her overwhelming power level and the way she is able to utilize it. Mirko is the Ranked 5 Pro Hero since All Might’s retirement, which also makes her the highest ranked female hero among all of MHA heroes.

Number Two: Lady Nagant
Quirk: Rifle, Air Walk, Unnamed Self Destruct Quirk
Hero or Villain: Villain
Coming in at number two among the strongest female My Hero Academia characters is a new character that is going to take our list for a bit of a spin: Lady Nagant!
Her Wiki Fandom explains: “is a villain who used to be a Pro Hero. She was freed from Tartarus by a riot caused by All For One in Tomura Shigaraki’s body. She then pursued Deku in honor of a deal she made with All For One. Following their battle, she was placed back into the police’s custody.”
She is clearly extremely powerful and will be one of the main antagonists for our anime in the coming season(s).
Her Wiki Fandom also goes on to state: “Lady Nagant is an incredibly powerful villain with skills even recognized by All For One, the most powerful villain in Japan, and feared by Hawks, the current No. 2 Pro Hero. As a former hero of the Hero Public Safety Commission, and Hawks’ senior, it is assumed she was privy to many of the same training regimes and harnessed a vast amount of skills working for them…”
Lady Nagant at SHJ:
Number One: Nana Shimura
Quirk: One For All, Float
Hero or Villain: Hero (Former Pro)
Even though we took our list for a spin with our number two slot, Nana Shimura still comes in as the most powerful female My Hero Academia character of all time.
Being the seventh user of Quirk: One For All, it makes it quite obvious that Nana Shimura’s overall power level was within a range of our top ranked heroes.
She may not have been as powerful as All Might, but as his mentor and holder of the same Quirk we can assume she wasn’t all that far off in terms of ability and where she could have taken that power.
Nana Shimura at SHJ:
But I’d also love to hear who YOU think should be on this list!
