Starting with a Tenya Iida workout and right onto Mr. Aizawa!
This Shota Aizawa workout will only be our second teacher workout out of all our My Hero Academia workouts that we’ve seen!
And prior to Tenya Iida and this week, we hadn’t seen a My Hero Academia Workout in bit.
But with Tenya Iida fitting our calisthenics and bodyweight training theme perfectly, I thought I’d pick another fan favorite, except this time from the teachers, that also fit the theme.
We’ve already seen a handful of MHA characters, such as: Deku, All Might, Momo Yaoyorozu, Shoto Todoroki, Ochako Uraraka, Asui, Mina Ashido, and Katsuki Bakugo.
And just even more to come!
Shota Aizawa Stats:
Height: 6’0
Weight: 140 lbs.
Real Name: Shota Aizawa
Hero Name: Eraser Head
Anime:Â My Hero Academia
Mr. Aizawa, AKA Eraser Head, isn’t that muscular and bulky, but he packs a punch.
And we’re going to learn how to pack a punch behind a lean physique as well.
Vegeta were tied Wolverine for the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4.  Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Shota Aizawa Diet and Nutrition
This is normally where (in the character workouts at least) I’d throw you guys a nice copy paster to give you some links to awesome dietary guidelines.
The celebrity workouts get their own custom planning based around what that celebrity does, but the characters are very contingent on specific goals/starting points.
The same is going to be done here, but I’m going to be making some changes to help you out a little bit more. So I’m going to start by suggesting what I think is the best Superhero Program for this cosplay if you choose to step it up a notch. Of course, you can really step it up a notch and join our Academy to get access to everything we have to offer, but if not, you might want to check out The Program Shop for other options or even take The Program Selection Quiz to help you out.
Either way, my suggestion would be:Â The Cut and Shred
Which brings us to our information from the character workouts if you’re looking to go the free-route (which is totally fine):
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Shota Aizawa Cosplay Information (and Options)
Now it’s time to not transform your body, but rather your attire.
That’s right, it’s the NEW fun part.
As you can tell from the picture above (and throughout the article as well), Eraserhead cosplay has a few different options.
You can definitely have some fun with this.
Here’s some suggestions, and I tried to diversify it (not Amazon this time due to lack of availability/variation):
And there you have it.
Along with this killer workout I’m going to build for you to turn you into Eraserhead, these are our favorite options for his outfit.

Shota Aizawa Workout Routine Information (and Research)
So we have some more fun (although may not as much) in this section.
Here I’ll be giving you a bit of a bio and also utilizing what we’ve discussed in the section above (and some more) to break down what we’ll be looking to achieve with this workout routine I’ll be building for you.
So let’s start at My Hero Academia Fandom and learn a little bit about Shota Aizawa.
To get us started we’re going to lead with a very brief bio for Mr. Aizawa:
Shota Aizawa, also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head, is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of U.A.’s Class 1-A.
Yup! That’s right!Â
Mr. Aizawa is the homeroom teacher for all our Class 1-A students that we’ve seen thus far!
Here’s what they tell us about his appearance:
Shota is a slender and tall pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and often half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often appearing as if he just rolled out of bed. His facial hair remains unkempt and his eyes almost always looked tired and flat.
Shota sports a ragged black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature wrap scarf at all times. He hides a pair of yellow goggles underneath his scarf for when he needs to use them in battle.
After being heavily injured by Nomu, Shota’s entire face and both of his arms were completely covered in bandages. Once these bandages were removed, Shota reveals a deep scar underneath his right eye.
His formal attire for press meetings and meeting with parents of his students includes a black suit, blue tie, and white dress shirt. While in this attire, his hair is well-groomed and held back in a low bun at the base of his neck.
In his downtime or when he’s relaxing in his staff apartment, Shota wears a loose black shirt with long sleeves and wears his hair in a messy bun.
They describe Shota Aizawa as tall and slender, but if you’ve seen him in battle you know this man can move!
Let’s talk about his powers, so you’ll have an idea of what he’s doing.
Here’s how his Wiki starts by telling us about his overall abilities:
Overall Abilities: Eraser Head has demonstrated incredible combat prowess and ingenuity that makes him one of the most formidable teachers and Pro Heroes at U.A. High School. Even without his Quirk, Eraser Head relies on his hand to hand skills, excelling in close quarters combat. He uses his combat skills in conjunction with his capturing weapon, and is very strong and quick when doing so. He effectively held his own while surrounded and outnumbered dozens to one, evading multiple attacks from villains of various sizes before restraining them and sending them flying with calculated counter attacks. He was even able to nearly defeat Tomura Shigaraki, a highly capable villain, before Nomuintervened and overpowered the Erasure Hero. Other than Tomura, Eraser Head can effectively fend off high level villains such as Vanguard Action Squad members, Dabi and Himiko Toga, albeit with some difficulty.
And then they move into talking about the specific powers that come from his Quirk: Erasure.
Here’s what they tell us:
Erasure: Shota’s Quirk gives him the ability to nullify another person’s Quirk by looking at the user.
So as you’ll see throughout the course of the show, Eraser Head will erase his opponents abilities and then lay down a wooping on them!
Meaning: we need to train for strength, agility, and the power to maneuver like Eraser Head (similar to parkour training).

Shota Aizawa [Cosplay] Workout
Training Volume:
5 days per week
Explanation:
Eraser Head is slim and toned. We’re going to be training 2 days a week strictly devoted to our endurance and fat loss to be slim like Aizawa for our cosplay, but then we’re also going to train with calisthenics to strengthen up and fight like him as well (which will make up the other 3 days a week).
Difficulty Level:
Beginner-Intermediate
When we do our celebrity and character workouts we base the difficulty level off of their routines/their powers. For this one it’s just a judgement call on how I believe we can best get you looking like each character. For that reason I’m providing a level for each.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
