Amazon’s The Boys is back for Season Two and The SHJ Army wants Erin Moriarty’s workout routine and diet plan!
And, being the Nick Fury, I’m generally in the opinion that you give the people what they want!
It’s bitter sweet when you have the the season come back and you just want to binge watch it but only get a handful of episodes to start with (although it’s better than just getting one, am I right?).
But The Boys are back and Erin Moriarty is with them as our Starlight!
Moriarty has also been in smaller roles such as The Watch, Captain Fantastic, and Blood Father, but The Boys is definitely her biggest, and [opinion] her best!

Erin Moriarty Stats:
Height: 5’6
Weight: (approximate) 120 lbs.
Age: 26 years old
Erin Moriarty falls in right at the average height we’ve seen among women at SHJ.
And 5’6 is actually right there as the most seen height among female celebrities as well.
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.
I write these routines for anyone and everyone.

Erin Moriarty Diet and Nutrition
There’s not much information out there about Erin Moriarty’s exact diet, but that’s more than likely due to the fact that she eats intuitively and is able to do so because of how active she is.
That being said, the extent of our knowledge comes from little bits of pieces taken from interviews and social media.
So the best thing we can do is talk a bit about those finding, starting with what we find by searching through her social feeds like Instagram and Twitter!
The main thing we can learn from her Instagram is that she likes to eat and drink socially, and doesn’t hold back when it comes to friends, alcohol or coffee!
Generally if a celebrity was going to diet for a specific role alcohol would be one of the first things they cut or restrict from their diet, but Moriarty doesn’t seem to need to because of the healthy choices she makes the other 80% of the time!
Her Twitter links out to some interviews that confirm she likes to have fun with friends and do dinner parties and go out drinking; which just leads us more to the same hypothesis.
In one Tweet that drives us back to an Instagram post she says:
Pre-food poisoning, with my girls, blissfully unaware that their NYE would mostly be spent holding my hair back and on puke-bucket duty. Body is hollowed out, heart is full.Â
Which was just one example of her out with her friends drinking and having a great time!
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Erin Moriarty Workout Routine Research
Now I know what you’re thinking already: “In order for Moriarty to not have to diet she must have a super-intense workout she’s using for The Boys!”
But that’s actually not the case.
In an interview with Photobook Magazine Moriarty talks all about her career and filming The Boys, and training never comes up separately, despite her killer physique.
Instead, here’s one of the questions she answers that we can draw some information from:
What are some of your hobbies when you’re not working?
I LOVE to cook, hike, go camping, go on long (phone-less) walks with my dog, read, listen to podcasts nonstop, have movie nights, go to the movies, and have dinner parties with friends.
There’s some more confirmation about those dinner parties.
As you can tell there are a couple things that deal with being active and outside there, more specifically talking about hiking, camping and going for LONG walks with her dog while listening to podcasts.
In another interview with Brief Take Moriarty actually DOES get asked about her training for the fighting scenes and working out needed to portray Starlight.
Here’s what she says:
BT: You’ve said that you enjoyed your fight sequences and the chance to be physical in this role. Can you tell me a little bit about your training?
EM: We work with a really awesome stunt coordinator on this and I think that he really wanted to make sure that we embody the physicality of a superhero easily and believably. Leading up to season 1, I did some lessons with him that were sort of like a boxing / Muay Thai / martial arts hybrid, that when I have to learn choreography for fight sequences, it came more easily to me. I had been training with him and then one of the first night shoots that I had in which the entire night consisted of me doing a fight sequence and I hadn’t had experience with this type of thing prior to the show, and it was so much fun. There was something about it that felt very cathartic and that made me feel very empowered, it ended up being so much more fun than I expected because I’m the type of person who watches UFC and winces, so I didn’t think that I’d take to it very fondly, but there’s something cathartic about it. It was super fun and it all the more made me feel like I was in that character’s shoes, so I loved it.
And in a follow up question she talks about how one of the things she loves most about Toronto is that she’s able to walk everywhere:
BT: What do you like most about shooting in Toronto?Â
EM: I love it! Toronto reminds me of New York. My favorite part about it that I don’t have in Los Angeles is that I can walk everywhere and that allows for a certain level of spontaneity and discovery that L.A. doesn’t, because you have to drive everywhere. And we’ve been lucky because we film in the summertime, we’re here, at my opinion, the best time. It’s very cool because it’s an urban city with so much culture and yet there are these really, really beautiful parks, so you also get your fix of greenery and I have a dog (George) and on my days off, we gravitate towards those parks and it has everything that you would want out of a city. I feel comfortable in it and taking public transportation because I’m from New York and I miss that when I’m in L.A. I miss walking and you see more of the city when you are walking, there’s a bit more of an enhanced presence when you’re able to walk around that I miss when I’m in L.A., and I love that about Toronto.
Our hypothesis: Moriarty is active enough to to eat intuitively (mostly healthy options but still indulges and has fun when she wants), but doesn’t actively train or workout in a typical environment, but rather walks, hikes and gets outside enough to burn those calories.
This is actually something similar to what we’ve seen from hundreds of other women as well. I have entire section devoted to it in my book Superhuman Secrets.
So for this one you’re going to have to option to do it like Moriarty, but I’m also going to be building you a workout based on other celebrities we’ve seen with similar physiques and overall builds to Moriarty so that you can take advantage of that.
