We’ve been on a bit of a Demon Slayer kick recently with the new season coming out, but when I saw requests coming in for a calisthenics version of our Megumi Fushiguro Inspired Workout coming in I knew we had to jump on it as soon as possible.
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of my favorite anime/manga ever, and Megumi Fushiguro is right up there as one of the reasons why.
Our first workout for Megumi took into account a lot of his abilities, and we’ll still be doing that for this one, except this time we’ll also put even more of a focus on his lean and toned aesthetic.
We already have Gojo and Yuji with both a weight training and a calisthenics version of their training inside the Jujutsu Kaisen Inspired Workouts Database, so many of you members of The SHJ Army know how this works.
Megumi Fushiguro Stats:
Real Name: Megumi Fushiguro
Height: 5’9
Weight: N/A
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen
Powers: Yes
Megumi Fushiguro is actually fairly tall compared to other male anime characters.
He’s no where near tall enough to be considered a behemoth among our Anime Workouts Database, but he is slightly above average.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Megumi Fushiguro Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Megumi Fushiguro Calisthenics Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Megumi Fushiguro we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with what they give us for his bio section here:
Megumi Fushiguro is the deuteragonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer and first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. Megumi is the step-brother of Tsumiki Fushiguro and as the son of Toji Fushiguro, Megumi is also a descendant of the Zenin Family. Megumi was born outside the clan as Toji’s trump card and was eventually found by Satoru Gojo, who mentored him and enrolled him at Jujutsu High as his student.
This doesn’t tell us much about Megumi’s power level, but it does give us some basic background information for the newbies joining us for this workout.
From there we can skip over his appearance section considering we know he is slim and toned and head right into his powers and abilities.
Starting off that section they lead with a bit about his overall power level here:
Overall Skill Level: Megumi is a grade 2 sorcerer and possesses one of the highest potentials of any student at Jujutsu High regardless of age. He inherited the prized Ten Shadows Technique of the Zenin clan and is favored by the strongest sorcerer himself. Satoru believes that Megumi could become as strong as he is and has stated he likely possesses even more skill and potential than Yuji. Mai Zenin commended him as a genius who started school ranked grade 2. Noritoshi Kamo mirrored the same sentiment, claiming Megumi’s age is irrelevant because of his inherited technique, and that he was even more reliable than the drunk Head of the Zenin clan. Even Sukuna has taken a special interest in Megumi due to his unique talents.
Megumi is an exceptionally focused person and a highly disciplined combatant. He excels at keeping his cool in even the direst situations. Of all Satoru’s students, Megumi is the most level-headed and clever in his approach to every fight. This has translated into an expert degree of understanding when it comes to jujutsu and how to practically apply his own skills. By the time he met Yuji Itadori, Megumi was already capable of summoning several different shikigami and he had a solid grasp on the Ten Shadows Technique. When Satoru left Megumi without much direction in his assignment to track down Sukuna’s finger at Yuji’s school, he was still able to navigate the mission on his own. Megumi was able to nearly secure Sukuna’s finger without issue, but, Yuji and his friends accidentally complicated the mission and led to Megumi getting caught off guard by a giant cursed spirit that nearly incapacitated him.
They actually keep going for a lot more than just this but this should be good to get us started before we move down into specific abilities.
They also go on to talk about his high intellect, about how he is a weapons specialist, and expert hand to hand combatant.
Ironically enough, for his actual physical abilities (other than him being an excellent, trained fighter) they mainly just discuss his endurance:
Advanced Endurance: Megumi is especially tough for a human being, with high pain tolerance, exceptional stamina, and especially impressive durability. He’s shown his toughness on numerous occasions where he was able to withstand a beating and survived the battle, sometimes even overcoming his own exhaustion to achieve victory. Megumi can survive direct attacks from even special grade cursed spirits. He suffered a beatdown at the hands of Sukuna without any major injuries. Todo also overpowered Megumi in a similar fashion, but in both cases, Megumi never passed out and he continuously refused to back down.
Hanami struck Megumi with a cursed bud that nullified his cursed energy and injured his gut, but Megumi remained standing and was willing to continue fighting. In his fight with the Finger Bearer, Megumi suffered serious head trauma and was knocked unconscious only for a few moments. Despite the severity of his injuries and his depleted stamina, Megumi pushed himself to the limit and exorcised the curse, although he passed out right after. When he allowed himself to be stabbed by Toji, Megumi barely winced from the pain despite his abdomen getting punctured. When he was grievously injured by Shigemo, Megumi still managed to muster up enough strength to summon Mahoraga before he bled out. In the Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Megumi was hit by several explosions and was in rough shape after getting ambushed by Reggie and Hazenoki. Megumi fought through his exhaustion and was able to ignore his injuries long enough to defeat Reggie, who was entirely refreshed with full stamina at the start of their fight.
So the basis of this workout WILL be calisthenics, but we’ll also have a heavy endurance focus with it as well.
That means the goals for our Megumi Fushiguro Inspired Workout are going to be:
- Megumi Fushiguro’s Advanced Endurance
- Megumi Fushiguro’s Lean and Toned Physique
- Megumi Fushiguro’s Jujutsu Sorcerer Strength and Agility
That will make this workout a bit of a hybrid workout, but one that should be okay for almost any fitness level to jump into with potentially a bit of simple scaling.
That said, the best workout from our Beginner Workouts would actually be our Beginner Speedster Workout, though any of them are a great place to get started.

Megumi Fushiguro Calisthenics Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5 days per week
We’ve used this format for endurance training before, but this time we’re going to be switching it up a bit and building it specifically around Megumi Fushiguro and his Jujutsu Sorcerer training as well. You’re going to have five days of training, all of which will include endurance work to make this one based around Fushiguro’s advanced endurance, but I’ll also be tacking on some extra calisthenics training to make sure we build up our fighter speed and strength as well.

That being said: while it’s okay to walk/speed walk, if you plan on doing it for the majority of the duration you should increase the time to 30-60 minutes at a minimum.

Side Note: A good way to measure your improvement over time during your speed circuit is to pay attention to what speed your capable of performing your sprints at and which speed your comfortable with your walks at. Another great thing to do is measure your heart rate directly after your sprint and directly before the next sprint to see how quickly you recover and then compare that to future circuits.

Short Circuit: Complete 1-2 Rounds
(Academy members add on a Benchmark Hero Workout or SHJ Core Benchmark Test)
50 Planking Shoulder Taps
40 Push Ups

Megumi Fushiguro Calisthenics Workout: Mandatory Rest Day Note
Your schedule does not need to adhere to this exact daily structure BUT you should have a rest day prior to your distance run day each week, as this will be an extremely important marker for your improvement and how well you are completing it over time! 🙂
Rest days are mandatory, BUT it’s okay to get active as long as you’re allowing your body to recover.
