Not too long ago we brought in a new variation to our Captain Obi workout within our Fire Force Inspired Workouts, and now it’s time for another take on Arthur Boyle.
Our original Arthur Boyle Inspired Workout was built around weight training (and we do actually get to see him lifting some weights in Fire Force), but this time we’re going to be sticking to calisthenics and bodyweight training.
This one is going to be a fun one because we’ll be able to make better use of some of the firefighter training I wanted to implement for our Captain Obi routine, but didn’t make as much sense being that he is much bigger (and jacked) than someone like Arthur Boyle.
Arthur Boyle Stats:
Real Name: Arthur Boyle
Height: 5’8 1/2
Weight: 141 lbs.
Anime: Fire Force
Powers: Yes
Arthur Boyle isn’t THAT tall based on regular standards, but 5’8 surprisingly increases the average height range among ever so slightly.
He’s nearly a foot off of being considered a behemoth among our male anime characters within the Anime Workouts Database, but not too long ago he may have even been considered in a taller range among some of them.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Arthur Boyle Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Arthur Boyle Calisthenics Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Arthur Boyle I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with his extremely short bio section they have for us here:
Arthur Boyle is a former Third Generation Fire Soldier of Tokyo’s Special Fire Force Company 8.
We don’t have to share his full appearance section, but I do want to at least share the first line to make sure we emphasize what they immediately make note of that will also be useful for our workout:
Arthur is a young man of average height and lean but muscular build with shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes with white pupils, similar to Shinra.
We’ll definitely be factoring in his aesthetic and it will be a big part of how we build this one out.
From there we can move right down into his abilities section, which starts with a bit about his overall abilities here:
Arthur has proven himself to be one of the strongest Fire Soldiers in the Special Fire Force. Arthur is an exceptionally strong Fire Soldier, possessing incredible physical strength that allows him to repel an Infernal with a single punch. With time he becomes one of the strongest people on the planet. Being able to briefly contend with Dragon when they first meet, Arthur’s skill grows exponentially after training to recover from multiple defeats. Arthur’s speed allows him to react quickly enough to retaliate against Shinra’s Rapid and he was fast enough to react to Shō Kusakabe’s Severed Universe, though he wasn’t able to entirely dodge it. Arthur also possesses tremendous durability, being able to withstand damage and powerful blows without staggering or relenting in his own attacks.
Clearly we’re dealing with an extremely powerful character and will need to adjust out level to adhere to him.
When we move further down into his abilities section they begin breaking down his individual abilities that give us an idea of how strong his physical strengths are:
Immense Strength: Arthur possesses superhuman levels of strength, showcased in his battle against dragon, when he was capable of trading blows with the Monster with relative ease. His immense strength was enough to break apart the surface of the moon and Dragon’s impenetrable armor, which survived countless plasma strikes. His strength allowed him to slice through Dragon’s impenetrable armor with no difficulty. His strength allowed him to contend with several Infernals in terms of strength as well as create shockwaves upon clashing with Dragon several times in their final battle.
Immense Speed: Even more so than his strength, Arthur possesses unimaginable levels of speed. When embracing his knightly delusions, his speed matched that of Shinra’s Rapid, and allowed him to contend with and catch Dragon off guard in their final apocalyptic showdown, and even use his Plasmantle to move faster than the speed of Lightning. When using the Star ring, his speed drastically increases, to the point that he can move fast enough to easily traverse the vacuum of space and cross the distance from the Sun and Earth with barely any difficulty, and completely overwhelm the likes of Dragon with unrelenting attacks.
Immense Durability: Arthur possesses incredible durability, shown as he was able to ednure blows from demon infernals and Benimaru Shinmon. His durability shines through in his rematch with Dragon, where he managed to survive hundreds of immensely powerful attacks from the Beast. His durability allowed him to survive Dragon’s final attack, losing his lower half in the process. Even after all of this, he still managed to hold on for several minutes in space, but later succumbed to his grievous injuries. Arthur also has a large amount of oxygen in his body and a high resistance to fire, showcased when he survived several of Dragon’s explosive fire attacks and fought against him for several hours without overheating whatsoever (this could be explained as him using the Star ring however).
Immense Stamina: Arthur possesses an incredible amount of energy and stamina, allowing him to fight for several hours without Overheating in his training with Benimaru Shinmon, and fight for an extended period of time against Dragon without wavering. He also managed to fight for several seconds in the vacuum of space without falling unconscious until finally succumbing to its effects. Upon donning the Star Ring he managed to completely ignore most of Dragons attacks, fight for several hours without tiring, and more. He also possesses a surprisingly high pain tolerance, allowing him to fight despite being grievously injured by Dragon and smile despite missing several body parts.
This breakdown is one of the reasons we built his first routine around weight training (on top of seeing him training with barbell and dumbbells in the anime); but we’ll find a way to make it work with some intense calisthenics training as well.
That means the main goals for our Arthur Boyle Inspired Calisthenics Workout are:
- Arthur Boyle’s Muscular but Lean Aesthetic
- Arthur Boyle’s Immense Strength and Speed
- Arthur Boyle’s Immense Stamina
This sounds like an awesome firefighter workout goals list to me.
This one might be a bit intense if you take a look at the overall volume, but if you’re comfortable with scaling then any fitness level should be able to jump right in and take advantage of it.
If not you may want to consider starting with one of our Beginner Workouts, the two calisthenics options being the Beginner Ninja Workout and the Beginner Speedster Workout; both of which would be great ways to level up to this one.
