We took a bit of a break from our Lookism Inspired Workouts after getting tons of them in a row to prepare for the Netflix series – and now we’re back to add Eli Jang to the list!
We have a few other characters that will also be coming in the next handful of weeks, like Johan Seong for example, but with the 100+ requests a day it’s hard to make priority outside of the automatic requests for Plus Ultra members (they get priority).
This one is going to fall into our calisthenics workouts so our bodyweight members of The SHJ Army can jump right in and take advantage of it – but I’ll be sure to get some weight training routines in there soon as well.
Eli Jang made it onto our list of the strongest Lookism characters, so although we’ll be training with bodyweight movements, we’ll still need to work around a high power level relevant to the Lookism Universe.
Eli Jang Stats:
Real Name: Eli Jang
Height: 6’1
Weight: N/A
Webtoon: Lookism
Powers: No
Eli Jang is actually fairly tall, coming in at the tallest range other than our behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database.
Another half a foot and he’d find himself categorized as a behemoth as well.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Eli Jang Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Eli Jang Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Eli Jang we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom starting with the brief bio section they give us here:
Eli Jang is a secondary character in Lookism. He is a student in the beauty department of J High School, Yenna’s father, and one of the three children trained by Tom Lee.
This doesn’t give us much to go on other than the fact that we know right off the bat his training was brutal if he was trained under Tom Lee.
From there we can move on to his appearance section which will be something else we utilize to build out our workout.
Here’s how they break it down for us:
Eli Jang is considered to be attractive by many girls at J High School. He was referred to as, “an Angel from Heaven.” He has a tall stature and slender body frame, with pale skin and dark-colored eyes. On his back there are multiple scars including even a bullet wound he got while living on the streets. He used to wear rugged clothing when he was younger, but now he typically wears brand clothing or his school uniform.
The only thing we can really utilize from this section is the fact that they make specific note to him having a slender body frame.
While staying slender we’ll also be looking to stay as lean and toned as we can.
The next thing we can analyze is his abilities and fighting prowess, starting with his street fighting and savagery:
Eli Jang is one of the most savage and aggressive fighters shown. His upbringing on the streets with Mister Carpenter coupled with his lack of formal martial arts training cultured fighting instincts often called “animalistic”. He was so fearsome that Gun took him as his protégé, comparing his fighting style to his partner Goo’s. Eli’s fighting style can be surmised as pure efficient savagery, utilising any-and-all attacks to finish the fight as succinctly as possible. This includes biting, groin grabbing, eye-gouging, headbutting, fiercely stomping a grounded opponent and using any weapon he can get his hands on. Interestingly, it is noted that his fighting style is a mirror copy of Tom Lee’s by employees of the White Tiger Centre. His savage fighting style gets more dangerous when Eli is cornered. He uses his opponent’s clothes or accessories to restrain or to inflict great damage on them as seen when he used Warren’s clothing as makeshift handcuffs and when he strangled Darius with his necklace.
After meeting Eli once again, Tom Lee remarked that he isn’t as strong as he expected him to be and resolved to teach him everything again from scratch in order to awaken the real beast inside him. After a month of training and getting beaten up, Tom acknowledges Eli and gives Yenna back to him.
They also talk about his aikido and weapon use here:
Thanks to Gun’s training, Eli now knows Aikido as a martial art and seems to have proficiency in the usage of stun batons. Gun remarked that he gave Eli a stun baton because he is too strong, metaphorically referring to that weapon as a chain to restrain Eli. His fighting method is proven to be efficient and effective as Eli could defeat singlehandedly Hostel A’s mobs and Darius for the second time.
All of this clearly showing that he trained A LOT. On top of which they refer to his strength as a fighter, which is something we’ll be working on as well.
But to finish off we need to make a note of what they also give it’s own section (clearly stating it’s importance):
Eli has great endurance as he was able to spring back up after being hit by powerful fighters like Warren Chae and Darius Hong. He is also quite powerful as he once knocked out Johan Seong in one swing of a flute and it is implied that after training with Gun he got much stronger giving Gun the scar on his chest when the latter decided to test him. He is strong enough to defeat Ivan Park and Hope Park, two fighters renowned for their physical strength, with ease.
This section is titled physical endurance, but it once again notes on his physical strength as well.
That means the goals of our Eli Jang Inspired Workout are:
- Eli Jang’s Fighter Endurance
- Eli Jang’s Strength and Speed
- Eli Jang’s Slender but Toned Physique
This one will have some high volume but should be suitable for all fitness levels.
If it seems a bit daunting the best place to start would be either our Beginner Ninja Workout or even our Beginner Speedster Workout.

Eli Jang Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5 days per week
For this one we’re still going to be having some calisthenics training to tone up and build the necessary strength for Eli Jang (as well as fighter strength and agility), but we’ll also focus on looking to get lean and slim with Jang’s shredded physique and fighter endurance.

(Measure Your Time and Complete it For Speed, Looking to Improve Over Time)
Beginner: 3 Mile Run
Intermediate: 5 Mile Run
Advanced: 7-10+ Mile Run
Note that while these distances might seem daunting, it is okay to start by running and walking on and off to work your way up to a better score.
Break, run, break, run, and then the next time go out there and break a bit less! 🙂
Eli Jang Workout: Recovery Run and Bodyweight Circuit
Complete the Following at Easy to Moderate Pace:
Beginner: 15 Minute Run/Walk/Jog
Intermediate: 20-30 Minute Run/Walk/Jog
Advanced: 30-60 Minute Run/Walk/Jog
Your recovery run revolves around getting out there and moving for the time listed.
You may be able to get out for a walk/run for 30-60 minutes as a beginner/intermediate if you plan on walking/speed walking for the majority of the duration to allow for more recovery – so keep in mind the time listed is more time spent RUNNING.
That being said: while it’s okay to walk/speed walk, if you plan on doing it for the majority of the duration you should increase the time to 30-60 minutes at a minimum.
Bodyweight Circuit: Complete 3 Rounds
(Plus Ultra members add on a Benchmark Hero Workout or SHJ Core Benchmark Test)

- Walk 60 Seconds at 2-3 MPH (-60% Effort)
- Repeat for a Total of 30 Minutes
- Cooldown Incline Walk for 10-15 Minutes
Side Note: A good way to measure your improvement over time during your speed circuit is to pay attention to what speed your capable of performing your sprints at and which speed your comfortable with your walks at. Another great thing to do is measure your heart rate directly after your sprint and directly before the next sprint to see how quickly you recover and then compare that to future circuits.
Calisthenic Core Circuit: 2 Rounds
Complete Each Movement for 30 Seconds
Side Plank Right
Sit Ups
Hollow Hold

Eli Jang Workout: Short Distance Run [For Time] and Short Bodyweight Circuit
Complete the Following FOR TIME! 🙂
Beginner: 1.5 Miles
Intermediate: 3 Miles
Advanced: 3-5 Miles
Similar to your long distance run training you should be looking to improve on this run each week, but also take it a bit easier than your timed distance run and don’t be afraid to scale it as needed going into the circuit – especially if you’re choosing one with running.
