We probably should have seen Vision the same week as Scarlet Witch.
But it worked out better having her last week for our new Cosplay Workout & Guide category.
We’ve been making our way through some Marvel characters that are coming to Disney+ and Vision is one of them. We recently saw Winter Soldier, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Ms. Marvel; and this week we have Kate Bishop and Vision joining the list.
We also have plans for Loki, and I’m sure new characters as they emerge before us, but thankfully we had already had both She Hulk and Moon Knight at SHJ!
Oh, and if you’re interested we do already have Paul Bettany’s routine here as well.
Vision Stats:
Height: 6’3
Weight: 300 lbs
Real Name: The Vision
Powers: Yes
Vision is actually average height if compared to celeb males we’ve seen at SHJ.
Which is surprising that as an android they didn’t make him tower over people like Thor.
Vegeta were tied Wolverine for the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Moralesonly an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Vision Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hellboy may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!

Vision Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
This is where I get to break down the “how” and “why” of the workout we’re going to build based on the characters, in this case Vision’s, powers and/or abilities.
So we’re going to jump over to Marvel and grab a bio for Vision being that you’re probably used to the MCU bio; but here’s a comic version:
Robotics genius Phineas Horton constructed a “synthozoid” of his own design while war was brewing overseas in the final days of the 1930s, little dreaming of how revolutionary his creation would become. Headstrong in his beliefs and vision, the scientist grew discouraged when the mechanical man burst into flames upon being exposed to air and set about revising it to address its faults. Later, the android gained sentience and operated as a Super Hero known as the Human Torch during World War II.
After the war, the Torch deactivated himself following exposure to radiation and “slept” away the decades, until his reactivation in modern times for a brief fling with artificial life again. Soon after, the time-traveling Immortus chanced upon the android while he was once more inert and created a duplicate Human Torch. The original Torch would go on to other adventures, while the Torch duplicate fell into the hands of the Avengers’ robotic adversary, Ultron. Forcing an aged Phineas Horton to aid him in rebuilding the duplicate Torch as a new entity, Ultron sent his android out to infiltrate and destroy Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
And they list his powers as such:
- Density Shifting
- Intangibility
- Photokinesis
- Remote Interfacing (with other computer systems)
- Synthezoid
- Regeneration
- Heightened Senses
- Flight
- Superhuman Strength
- Superhuman Durability
- Superhuman Speed
- Superhuman Reflexes
- Superhuman Agility
Which they go on to say this about:
Beyond the outstanding qualities of the Vision’s artificial body, which include great strength, resistance to harsh conditions, and automatic self-repair, his computer systems rank as world-class and deliver an almost-universal interface with other systems, extensive data storage, and holographic projection.
The Vision sports a “solar gem” on his forehead which can not only collect sunlight to provide energy for him, but can also project heat beams of powerful intensity for offensive purposes. In addition, Vision is able to control the actual density of his android frame to make himself ultra-light, ultra-dense, and even immaterial, all of which may be utilized for defensive and offensive actions. By making himself light, he can also fly to great heights and at high speeds.
The android continues to upgrade himself for better operation and higher functionality. More recent advancements include nanotechnology, shape-shifting, and a supernova burst.
So I’m not saying that Vision is a bit overpowered, but Vision is literally freakin’ overpowered.
I mean damn.
We’re training for all of the things!
I don’t even know how to prepare you for this, so I’m just throwing you right into the android maker and hoping you come out in one piece.
Let’s do this.

Vision Workout
Training Volume:
6 days per week
Explanation:
You can’t train for SuperHuman Strength, Durability, Speed, Reflexes, and Agility without going pretty high volume. You’ve seen that list of powers above; Vision is one strong cookie. I SHOULD give you seven days a week, but I’m going to be realistic and give you a day to recover so that we don’t get too extreme.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
