Vanessa Hudgens’ workout is a must have here at SHJ.
Not only has she always had an amazing physique, but she also has begun stepping it up a notch.
She recently starred in Polar with Mads Mikkelsen (whose workout we also recently saw) and will soon star in Bad Boys For Life alongside Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton.
Obviously she’s also had some pretty big roles in High School Musical, Beastly, Spring Breakers, and some other roles; but now more than ever she deserves her spot.
Now it’s time for us to replicate that physique with her nutrition and workout!

Weight: (approximate) 115 lbs.
Age: 31 years old
Vanessa Hudgens is one of the shortest celebrity women we’ve seen at SHJ.
If not tied for the shortest…
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
But, either way, don’t worry.

Vanessa Hudgens Diet and Nutrition
Vanessa Hudgens’ diet is one that we can definitely get behind.
Hudgens switches it up between both keto and intermittent fasting.
For those of you who have been around at SHJ for a while you know I’m a huge fan of both.
I’ve been intermittent fasting for years and I’ve also utilized keto in different formats (cyclical ketosis, intermittent keto fasting, etc) to lose over 50 lbs and experiment within other diets.

Delish shares a picture from Hudgens’ Instagram of her showing off her keto friendly SlimFast bars, and sources like Women’s Health Mag and Body & Soul are a all in agreement about Hudgens’ keto and intermittent fasting alternation.
In an interview Hudgens explains that she only eats for six hours a day, stating:
“In that six hour window I eat as much as I can to hold me over until I break fast again.”
She also talks about how she loves fat; mainly avocados! She says this about fat:
Now I wont’ says he’s exactly right when she says “If I’m not getting enough, my body holds on to calories”, but I also won’t bash the concept we’re working with here.
She also shares that she usually starts her day with with scrambled eggs with spinach, avocado, multigrain toast with butter, and tofu sausage.
Here’s what she tells Parade.com about her go-to meals:
My go-to breakfast is this crispy rice that has vegetables and avocado and eggs on it. It’s at a restaurant that I always go to, which I’m not revealing because that’s my secret local spot (laughs). And I just douse it with hot sauce because I could live off of hot sauce. And then for dinner it’s either pasta or pizza or sushi. I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest cook.
With the fasting, I typically have two big meals with some snacks and little things in between. But primarily it’s just two big meals.
The intermittent fasting allows me to not restrict what I eat as much, which is so nice. I don’t know if it’s the right way or the wrong way, but regardless, it’s working for me and I’m enjoying it. And also the whole snacking every three hours thing, it just always had me thinking about food. And with this, it’s like I eat in my six hour window and then I completely put eating out of my mind because I know that I’m not going to eat anything else for the rest of the night. And also it actually cut back on my wine intake because usually you drink wine right before bed and with this, I’m not doing any of that.
There was definitely an adjustment period. The first week was rough as well as in my workouts. I just kind of felt a bit more lethargic and tired. But after that week, it started to pick up and I started to feel better.
She’s also told People Mag:
“I’ve been intermittent fasting a lot, because for me, I love pasta, I love pizza, and when I’m not eating carbs I feel like a little piece of me dies,”
Which is probably why she jumps back and forth between keto and intermittent fasting!

Vanessa Hudgens Workout Routine Research
Vanessa Hudgens is a yogi.
She loves yoga, Pilates, hiking, and fitness classes!
She tells Parade:
I try to take one of these classes whenever I can, whenever my schedule allows it. Normally, that doesn’t allow for seven days. I would do seven days if I had time. I love starting my day off that way because sometimes I’ll have a less productive days and if I’ve gotten a workout in, then I feel like I’m accomplished no matter what.
For me, it’s just all about classes. If there is a class that is open, if there’s a spot available, and I’m around them, I just sign myself up. I normally sign up for a class the night before so I don’t even have time to think about it and just wake up to having to go to workout. If I don’t do it first thing in the morning it normally does not happen.
In an interview Hudgens actually describes yoga as her therapy, saying:
“It was definitely a journey back to myself, and yoga helped,”
But, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t hit the gym in different formats as well.
She likes to box and hit weights from time to time as well.
While she definitely prefers her classes, yoga, and even hiking outdoors, she switches up her routine a bunch similar to the way she switches up her nutrition.
Adaptability is definitely key, which is why it’s one of the main Pillars of Success in our Academy.

4-6 days per week
While normally you may be most accustomed to seeing 3-5 days a week, Hudgens’ workout is going to be extremely diverse because I’ll be giving you resources for a slew of different things she likes to utilize, while mainly focusing in on her favorites.

I’m going to be giving you resources for yoga, and reminding you of the different classes you can utilize, while also building you routines if you’d like to hit the weights for upper and lower body days that can be plugged in on top of other resources I add for mixed martial arts and more!
