Since we’re going to be seeing a handful of My Hero Academia Inspired Workouts this week I decided we’d start with a pair of Class 1-A students.
We already saw Denki, but now it’s time for Kyoka Jiro who we have members of The SHJ Army anxiously awaiting!
I’m excited we’re growing our our MHA characters again even though it’s one of, if not THE, most popular anime within our Anime Workouts Database, simply because there are a lot of characters that are actually great to fill up our calisthenics workouts as well.
And, if that wasn’t clear, we’re likely going to be using calisthenics for Kyoka as well!
Either way, though, she’ll be a great addition for our My Hero Academia Workout Placement Quiz.
Kyoka Jiro Stats:
Real Name: Kyoka Jiro
Height: 5’1
Weight: N/A
Anime: My Hero Academia
Powers: Yes
Kyoka is actually quite short.
We do have a bunch of female characters coming in around the same height range.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Kyoka Jiro Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Kyoka Jiro Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start our Kyoka Jiro research we’ll pull right from her Wiki Fandom page, which leads with their notoriously short bio section:
Kyoka Jiro, also known as the Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack, is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.
From there they actually move on into a very long section about her overall powers and abilities.
They break that down before moving into her Quirk like this:
Overall Abilities: While she doesn’t commonly employ close-quarters combat efficiency, Kyoka makes effective use of the handling she has on her Quirk, Earphone Jack. She utilizes the prehensile nature of her Earphone Jack Quirk in whip-like fashion, and use the sound generating effects of her Quirk to shock targets with vibrations, effectively stunning and sometimes defeating them. By the time of the Provisional Hero License Exam, Kyoka improved the efficacy of her Quirk, allowing her to plug her earphone jacks into the ground, and generate sound waves strong enough to make the ground quake, cause fissures, and disrupt large enemy formations. Her abilities eventually garnered the attention of Gang Orca, giving Kyoka the opportunity to intern under the No. 12 (formerly No. 10) Pro Hero, and improve on her search techniques. On Nabu Island, Kyoka, alongside Mashirao Ojiro, acted as the fourth line of defense against Nine, and effectively ambushed him before he subdued the two with his Hydra Quirk. Soon after, Mashirao and Kyoka aided Mezo Shoji against the powerful foe, forcing Nine into using the full power of his Air Wall Quirk to defeat the trio of students.
I personally think Kyoka Jiro’s powers are severely underrated and even listed her as number fifteen among our list of The Most Powerful Female My Hero Academia Characters of All Time.
She wasn’t quite ready to make The Most Powerful My Hero Academia Students list, BUT that doesn’t mean she won’t develop her powers more in the future and make the list at a later time.
Another thing to note before we move into her Quirk is Kyoka’s swordsmanship skills:
Swordsmanship: Though she does not directly use a sword in combat, Kyoka has shown to be skilled enough to wield a sword Momo Yaoyorozu had made during the U.S.J. Incident, and use it hold her own against low-tier members of the League of Villains.
They then move right into her Quirk, which has tons of potential.
Here’s how they break it down:
Earphone Jack: Kyoka’s Quirk is that she has a pair of headphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. When the jacks are plugged into something, Kyoka can channel the sound of her heartbeat through them in the form of a violent vibration attack. She can stretch her earlobes several meters. This Quirk also allows her to hear minuscule sounds and vibrations from her surroundings.
For this one, if you missed it earlier, we’re going to be sticking to calisthenics and circuit style training with some additional endurance work to work around Kyoka’s skills and also the fact that she had to pass the UA High School Entrance Exam.
That means we’ll be playing around similar structuring to Denki’s training and working with some of the training we use within our Assassin Calisthenics 90 Day System that has even been used to train future U.S. Marines.
Think you can handle it?
