It’s time to bring in another JACKED female character.
This time coming in from Fight Class 3, our first character from it, is Kwon Tae-young.
She’s joining some of our other top muscular female anime characters, and definitely deserves a slot on the list.
For this one we’re going to be training with weights, so if you’re looking for bodyweight training you’ll want to head into the calisthenics workouts and choose a different workout.
You CAN achieve a physique like this with calisthenics, but adding in weights is going to be much more efficient and optimal.
Kwon Tae-young Stats:
Real Name: Kwon Tae-young
Height: 5’1
Weight: 133.6 lbs.
Manga: Fight Class 3
Powers: No
Kwon Tae-young is extremely short.
BUT, she is actually on the heavier side due to how much muscle mass she has (compared to other female anime characters we see around her height).
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Kwon Tae-young Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Kwon Tae-young Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Kwon Tae-young we’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page starting with her bio section here:
Kwon Tae-young is a first-year student in Nam-il High’s Fight Class 1. She was awarded with the Promotion Excellence award by the principal at the 1st semester ranking match ceremony.
This doesn’t tell us much, but we’ll be pulling much more, starting with her appearance section.
We can clearly see Kwon Tae-young’s appearance from the images I chose, but here’s what they share about it:
Tae-young is a fair-skinned woman with a toned physique. She has short black hair tied in a short loose topknot. She will often wear a sleeping mask on her forehead.
Again, nothing too crazy, but we’ll keep going.
Next up is her physical abilities, which will hopefully help us out more than just making this a cosplay oriented routine (which we ARE doing, but it would be nice to have more).
Here’s what they share with us:
Tae-young is a great fighter and has several achievements; International Karate Federation’s Dream Cup Gold Medalist, 1st place in the ranks of all Korean middle and high schools, Korean Full-Contact Karate Association’s (KFKO) Best Middle School Player Award. She was awarded with the Promotion Excellence Award at the 1st semester ranking match ceremony.
Tae-young ranked second in the Maria test (1min 14 secs). Tae-young’s fists are incredibly strong due to intense training and she is able to fracture bone with her bare fists.
In Tae-young’s fight against Jiu Ji-tae she used a few Kyokushin Karate techniques; Power strike and Uppercut Strike.
In Tae-young’s fight against Kim Hyang-ji she used Kyokushin Karate; Upper body strike and Kyokushin Kick also known as the Brazilian Kick.
We finally get some things we can work with.
That said, her physique is still going to be the biggest aspect of this routine.

For this one, as I mentioned above, we’re definitely training with weights, but I’m also going hybrid because we know dang well Kwon Tae-young also tacks on gymnastics/calisthenics within her programming.
So expect a high volume, and high intensity routine.
That said, if it’s too intense you can start with one of the Beginner Workouts, with the Beginner Ninja Workout or even The Beginner Speedster Workout being your best bets.

For this one I’m going to be using a split I built a long time ago for another extremely jacked female character (Mirko) and switching it up to be build for Kwon Tae-young! We’re going to be working with an Upper/Lower Body Split, two days of each per week, with endurance work and optional training added in on top of that.

Kwon Tae-young Workout: Optional Endurance Work
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
