Avatar Kyoshi isn’t the first Avatar we’ve seen here at SHJ, and definitely won’t be the last.
She also isn’t the first Kyoshi we’ve seen, as we just recently got our Suki Inspired Workout, who is the leader of The Kyoshi Warriors!
Is it obvious that you guys love Avatar Inspired Workouts?
We also even have our Avatar Workout Placement Quiz to help you find the best routine for you specifically.
Obviously Avatar Kyoshi is joining Aang and Korra, who we have seen multiple times now, but she’ll be the first of a couple more Avatars joining our Anime Workouts Database in the coming weeks.
Avatar Kyoshi Stats:
Real Name: Kyoshi
Height: N/A
Weight: N/A
Anime: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Powers: No
Fans place Avatar Kyoshi around 7 ft tall, but others don’t know if that’s exactly accurate (when we go into her bio section we’ll learn more about this height).
At that height they also place her around 230 lbs. which is also the same age she lived to!
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Avatar Kyoshi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Avatar Kyoshi Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started on Avatar Kyoshi we’re going to be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page.
As I said earlier, we’ll also hear more about her extremely tall stature right in her initial bio:
Kyoshi was the Earth Kingdom-born Avatar immediately succeeding Avatar Kuruk of the Northern Water Tribe, and preceding Avatar Roku of the Fire Nation. She died at the age of 230, making her the oldest confirmed human, and was also an exceptionally tall woman, towering over most people. Kyoshi was born to two criminals: Jesa, a renegade Air Nomad nun, and Hark, a thief from an impoverished family of Earth Kingdom actors. She inherited her later signature outfit from her parents, adopting her mother’s golden headdress and metal war fans and her father’s face paint.
The way they write “towering” over most other people makes me think 6-7″ tall isn’t that far off what she really would be.
Although they don’t mention that much in her powers and abilities section (being very focused on her bending abilities) Avatar Kyoshi was also an incredible warrior (if that was obvious).
Here’s how they describe her section on establishing The Kyoshi Warriors:
Eventually, Kyoshi mastered the Avatar State, becoming feared and effective while restoring order in the world. She managed to maintain a “tense equilibrium” between the four nations.
Kyoshi also did not hide her bisexuality and attempted to effect greater tolerance for non-heterosexual people in the notoriously conservative Earth Kingdom. Nevertheless, these efforts had little impact. When she visited the ports of her adopted homeland peninsula, she constantly had to put carousing men in their place after they caused trouble to the female villagers. Eventually, she decided to train the women in defensive combat so that they could defend themselves. These women later formed the first band of the Kyoshi Warriors.
Basically Avatar Kyoshi was an absolute badass and awesome person.
Here’s what they say about her bending abilities:
As the Avatar, Kyoshi was able to bend all four elements and enter the Avatar State at will. At the age of 16, she momentarily entered the State for the first time, albeit involuntarily, while fighting Tagaka, having been activated as an instinctive defense mechanism. Later that same year, Kyoshi was able to remain fully aware of her heightened powers while in the Avatar State when she consciously dueled and killed Xu Ping An. Her most spectacular known feat was using the Avatar State to separate her home peninsula from the Earth Kingdom mainland and push it far out to sea to create Kyoshi Island. To do so, she first cut down to the earth’s mantle with earth and lavabending to sever the landmasses, followed by airbending to push the island out to sea.
Being that Avatar Kyoshi is the founder of the Kyoshi Warriors and we just saw their leader Suki, for this one we’re going to be doing a bit of a mix up.
We’ll take what we built for Suki and step it up a notch.
Get ready for a similar structure with more intensity added to break up your calisthenics days!

Avatar Kyoshi Workout Routine
Training Volume:
6 days per week
Explanation:
We just built our Suki workout around her being the leader of The Kyoshi Warriors. Now we’re working to become the founder – who also happens to be an Avatar. For that reason we’re going to be stepping it up a notch with intensity training breaking up our sessions a bit more.
(Suki’s training was 4 with option endurance, we have 6 here.)

Can we progressive the movements on the circuit days too?
Definitely!
For fatigue blowout would we complete all three exercises to failure then rest and repeat for three sets or do we not rest and keep going until all sets are done? Also the circuit format on Wednesday…can that same format be repeated on Saturday instead of the short circuit?
Super set style; so your rest between each.
