So far we’ve only had Akame grace our Anime Workouts Database, but now it’s time to bring in Leone!
You guys actually requested her quite a bit recently; which is likely due to the big rush we’ve had of new members coming in from TikTok.
That being said, it is definitely exciting to have a big handful of great female characters consistently coming in and joining our ranks.
Part of the vote for Leone probably came in because she’s at the top of tons of members “waifu” rankings – but that’s fine by us considering she has a great set of abilities and aesthetics for me to build a workout around – and is also a fun and strong character all around.
Either way she’ll definitely be a fun addition to our Anime Workout Placement Quiz.

Powers: Yes
Leone isn’t that tall, but she also definitely isn’t short.
She’s just a tad bit above what we’d consider the average height range among female celebrities and anime characters we’ve seen here at SHJ.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Leone Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Leone Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Leone we’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom, starting with what they lead off with here:
Leone was one of the older members of the assassination group, Night Raid. She excels at gathering information and exercising calm judgment when necessary. Leone is often the one who’s seen confirming the validity of the targets which Night Raid is assigned to assassinate.
We can all also already see her appearance from the images, or the fact that we’ve likely all seen Akame Ga Kill! by now – so I’ll be skipping her appearance section and moving directly into her Equipment and Skills section.
They break that down like this for us:
Leone possessed a Teigu in the form of a belt, named Lionel. When activated, it enhanced her speed, reflexes, strength, and regeneration, as well as giving her animal-like characteristics. She was also a skilled spy and manipulator, occasionally using her skills to swindle people out of their money, as seen with Tatsumi. Leone was also a very skilled hand-to-hand combatant, using such to fight her enemies, and has managed to fight even the most skilled enemies on even ground, although she usually killed them rather quickly.
She stated herself that she preferred sneak attacks to kill her enemies before they could react. Considering this and the fact that she was shown to infiltrate different areas on multiple occasions, it was implied she was incredibly skillful at stealth. She is a valuable member of Night Raid and had shown to be quite powerful. She was able to kill 3 men with a single kick as well as killing a large Danger-Beast with a single blow.
Just to be clear, that means, on top of her aesthetic, we’ll also be looking to achieve:
- Enhanced Speed and Reflexes
- Enhanced Strength
- Enhanced Regeneration (We’ll call this one endurance/stamina)
Thankfully the speed will come with our strength training, but we’ll also be including some high intensity work in there as well just to step it up a notch like Leone.
They’re not done there. They also continue on to say:
Once using Lionel’s transformation, it was shown that Leone became a deadly fighter. She was shown to easily keep up with Tatsumi while he used Incursio’s armor, as they killed several Danger Beasts together as a training method. Lionel has enhanced Leone to inhuman durability, during a fight with General Budo where she was struck down with powerful thunderbolts, she was able to move after a few moments.
Also, she seemed to have a sixth sense, being aware of danger beforehand, as shown when Night Raid was attacked by Dr. Stylish. An assassin had used a sneak attack on her, attempting to kill her with knife before she could react, but she was able to catch the knife in her mouth instead.
Lionelle also gave Leone an impressive regenerative ability. During her battles, Leone had lost both an arm and one of her breasts but was able to regenerate them. However, the regeneration is not instant, and takes a very long time to finish.
We’re going to be building this one out using high intensity calisthenics and endurance work to have stealth and assassin-like body control.
Which means you better also be ready for extra core work and holds as well!

Leone Workout Routine
Training Volume:
4+ days per week
Explanation:
For this one we’re going primal like Leone. We’re going to be training with 4 days of calisthenics training per week, and they’re going to be high intensity workouts built with jump rope, toe taps or jumping jacks (your choice of which). On top of that I’ll also include some bonus resources and a Teigu Circuit Test that you try out weekly, biweekly or even monthly.
Jump Rope / Toe Taps / Jumping Jacks Explanation:
I’m going to be using JR/TT/JJ as an abbreviation below, and you can complete anywhere from 25-100 depending on which you choose (I generally do 50-100 jump rope, but you can scale accordingly).

Leone Workout Routine: Primal Endurance Training
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
Option One – Run Based on Overall Fitness Level:
Beginner: 1-3 Miles
Intermediate: 3-5 Miles
Advanced: 5+ Miles
