By popular request, the next female to join our Anime Workouts Database is Revy from Black Lagoon.
Being that I’ve been adding a handful more characters that are structured almost entirely on a cosplay-oriented workout – the requests for Revy recently blew up.
Revy is a badass character, but she will also fall into the cosplay styled routine as well, with the exception of basing some of the training on her military background.
But more on that in our workout routine research section.
I’m excited to see how people react now that they can get Revy as a result on our Anime Workout Placement Quizzes!
Revy Stats:
Real Name: Rebecca Lee
Height: 5’5
Weight: 128 lbs.
Anime: Black Lagoon
Powers: No
Revy comes in right around average height if we compare her to anime female characters, celebrities and superheroes we’ve seen.
That range is right around 5’4-5’7, and it’s the average straight across the board for females – which is much different than what we see when comparing anime male characters to celebs and superheroes.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Revy Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Revy Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Revy and her background in Black Lagoon I’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page, starting with this brief bio section:
Rebecca Lee, mainly referred to as Revy and sometimes Two Hands is the main female protagonist of the Black Lagoon series.
That doesn’t tell us much, but it does give us about three different names we can use for Revy.
Not that that’s entirely relevant, but I wish I had three cool names…
Here’s what they start with when I move us into her abilities section, which leads with her occupation:
Revy is the driving force behind Lagoon’s military might, being the fighter of the team who can single-handedly defeat an entire platoon by herself. Her role in Lagoon is at the vanguard. She’s the protector when her team faces danger and the striker when the team needs to eliminate an enemy. She also plays special roles like infiltrator, rescuer, and courier. Ultimately, she’s the reason why Lagoon is so deadly. She alone makes Lagoon a force to be reckoned with.
From there they go onto discuss her skills in combat, stating:
Revy is one of the deadliest fighters in the series and the main gunfighter in the The Lagoon Company, whose skill with firearms and ability to dodge bullets is almost superhuman and unparalleled. She is capable of high movement like jumping and maneuvering herself around crowds. Roberta and Ginji Matsuzaki are a few characters who can hold their ground, or at least be a match against her, in combat. In moments when she has “Whitman fever”, she pretty much kills anything in sight.
Revy also appears to have some hand-to-hand combat skills, being able to hold her own in a fistfight against the formidable Roberta (although this was more of a comedic fight rather than a serious one). She has also taken down other hostiles with flying kicks in addition to her twin pistols.
And they also make note of her skills with weaponry and her intellect within her abilities section.
Those are two things that we won’t necessarily be working around, but are important to mention nevertheless.
The priority goals for this workout routine are:
- Revy’s Slim and Toned Aesthetic
- Revy’s Military Style Training
So why the primary focus is Revy’s aesthetic, I’ll also be keeping her military background in mind for the training style we put together.
We’ll be sticking to bodyweight training for this workout, but I’ll also be including a bunch of cardio and high intensity training as well.
