It’s finally time to bring in even more awesome female characters to our Jujutsu Kaisen Workouts Database.
If you guys have been here before you likely know that I’m a massive Jujutsu Kaisen fan, of both the anime and the manga, which is why our database is full of awesome characters (one of the largest in the entire Anime Workouts Database) – so I’m always excited to bring in new characters.
That said, I was specifically waiting for season two to drop to be able to get another look at Utahime Iori, and sure enough, we had tons of new requests coming in for her to hit the site.
For this one we’re actually going to be adding her to our calisthenics workouts, using strictly bodyweight training to achieve Utahime Iori’s lean and toned aesthetic.
Utahime Iori Stats:
Real Name: Utahime Iori
Height: 5’4-5’5 1/2
Weight: N/A
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen
Powers: Yes
Utahime Iori comes in right around average height that we’ve seen among our female anime characters.
Although one Wiki has her listed at 5’4 and another at 5’5 1/2, I believe she does seem slightly taller when put next to some of the other female characters.
Supergirl and Erza Scarlet were our shortest at 5’5 before Wasp came in at 5’4 and Kale, Anna and Nina Williams matching her there. BUT, now we have Caulifla at 4’8 and Sailor Moon at 4’11! Katana is just behind her at 5’2.
We had Wonder Woman come in standing 6’0 tall, Mockingbird and Hawkgirl at 5’9, Mystique, Miss Martian, and Sonya Blade at 5’10, and Storm 5’11.
But the average height for female celebrities on the site is generally more-so ranging from 5’4-5’6 – and our Black Widow is just above that at 5’7 with Spider-Gwen, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at 5’8.
And, the tallest we’d seen before She-Hulk was Starfire at 6’4!
But don’t worry, either way.
Not only are these routines for all shapes and sizes – they also work for both men and women – regardless of the gender of the hero.

Utahime Iori Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Utahime Iori Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Utahime Iori I’ll be pulling right from her Wiki Fandom page starting with her bio section that they give us here:
Utahime Iori is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a semi-grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer and student supervisor at Kyoto Jujutsu High.
They don’t give us much to go on as we get started, but for us Jujutsu Kaisen nerds we know that semi-grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer means she is definitely quite powerful.
When they move down into her appearance section they don’t tell us much about her physical aesthetic and instead discuss more about her clothing – but we need to know that she is definitely slim, toned and lean, with certain times we see her clearly showing muscle definition.
From there we can move down into her powers and abilities, but first I do want to clear something up.
In season two we see her on a mission with Mei Mei, which is taking place in the past, AKA Gojo’s Past Arc:
Years ago, Utahime is conducting a mission along with Mei Mei when both of them get trapped within a spirit’s barrier. As the two discuss what to do, Satoru Gojo arrives and frees them from the barrier. Utahime doesn’t notice the curse that emerges from the rubble right behind her, but Suguru Geto appears and summons a spirit that devours the curse. Shoko Ieiri then shows up and asks if Utahime is alright, Utahime hugs her and responds saying she is happy to see her.
In Jujutsu Kaisen season one we see her older, alongside Kyoto students and staff at the Sister-School Goodwill event.
So don’t get these two time jumps confused, but DO love you some Utahime Iori, of course.
They actually don’t tell us all that much about her powers and abilities, simply breaking down some of her jujutsu sorcerer abilities by discussing her innate technique here:
Solo Forbidden Area is Utahime’s innate technique. It temporarily amplifies the cursed energy of any willing sorcerer within range, including herself. The technique can be elevated into a ritual using incantations, hand signs, dance, and music. By including all of these steps, the technique’s effectiveness can be raised to 120 percent.
We can also automatically mention that she is extremely strong, fast, agile/nimble, with a ton of endurance and skill in hand to hand combat.
With all of that we can actually move forward into our workout.
The goals for our Utahime Iori Inspired Workout will be:
- Utahime Iori’s Slim Lean and Toned Aesthetic
- Utahime Iori’s Strength and Speed
- Utahime Iori’s Fighter Agility and Endurance
This one won’t be too crazy, as we’re dealing with a strong character, but not one that ends up on our list of the most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen characters, so I’ll be able to bring this one in right around the intermediate mark – making it great for both beginners or advanced members with some slight scaling.
If it does seem a bit daunting you can also start with one of our Beginner Workouts, with the Beginner Speedster Workout or Beginner Ninja Workout being the two best options to start with before you move into this one.

Utahime Iori Workout Routine
Training Volume:
3-5 days per week
Explanation:
For this one the thing that is going to make it more intermediate level than beginner will be the volume and a bit of intensity. You can easily cut off some of the exercises each day and still have an amazing routine and then slowly add in more. You’ll also have two days a week extra on top of your three calisthenics days, one of which is a Semi Grade 1 Circuit Test you can do weekly, biweekly or monthly, and the other is extra jujutsu sorcerer endurance.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
